Funny how time flies. I still remember wondering if I dare try and put a post on this thing called C-BRATS. Afraid I might break it -- my usual affect on anything remotely computerish. Back when I started, I was NEW to power boating, Way too new. But it grew on me, and over the years (14, almost to the day - 30 Oct 2006), this place and many of you folks have become family. And I thank you for that.

I have had the pleasure of showing my boat more times than I can count, of doing demo rides also more than I can remember, and have assisted in selling and buying probably 15 to 20 boats. I have not kept track but have kept up with many of those folks and the pleasure has been all mine. Some have come and gone. Others are still here, but the family continues.

Funny, the number thing, (amount) isn't a big deal, but the symmetry caught my eye. So for me, this is just noticing that number go by. It will change tonight, but the post # 11111 looks like I get a new fresh start. That I could use

So to all the Brats over the years who have had tremendous patience with me, and to those who have helped in so many ways, from here on the site to on the water I want to say a big Thank You. It has been my pleasure to cruise with some, to guide some others and to share so many incredible experiences. Thank you for sharing.

And especially to the guys that make this place work -- SO WELL :thup :thup

Mike and Will, Thank you for keeping the doors open and the lights on.

C-BRATS Rock!!!

And to the folks who are continuing to build our boats, Thank you Too.

Harvey, you're a helluva C-dory, C-Brat ambassador. If there was an official ambassador position, I would nominate you

Thank you too Harvey. It is the heart and soul of the C Brats like you which help all of the rest of us be members of this wonderful extended family.

Harvey, you're a good guy and (except for your obsession with twins (jk)) you are always an upbeat and positive presence here. The C-Brats forum is unique - a friendly and welcoming place on the internet. You most certainly are a fine example of what makes this place so good. Keep posting - I'll be looking forward to your post #20,000 and beyond.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Thank you, Ken, Sandy, Bob, and Jim and Joan. You all are here keeping this community active and educational. It has been a kick, and I have no plans of leaving soon –unless we go to an all single and kicker world   then hummmmm . . . . we’ll have to see.

(Jim, I am really only presenting truth, humble as it is 8)

Everyone of you has contributed to my learning here, and I am proud to be is such a great place with you as friends. It would be my pleasure to cross wakes with you anytime.

Harvey, congrats on this milestone. I feel like a newbe at 1,000 but I enjoy my stop in here at the pub most every day and appreciate your contributions.

All the best,

Rob

PS - I couldn't stop at 999 posts just in case somebody was looking at it upside-down 8)

Hi Rob, and thank you for the kind words and your contributions too. And I love your tag line. Oh so true here as well, at least the boats part.

"Talk to me and I will listen-- but if its not about boats or fishing all I will hear is bla, bla, bla, yada, yada, zzzzzzzz"

Take care and keep coming back.

OK Harvey, that's a lot of banging your knuckles on the keyboard. Kudos.

You must admit, though, your rather impressive post number is 'relative'
(as everything else is, it seems, these days).

Ex: Take an infinite number of monkeys banging on an infinite number of
keyboards for infinity. One monkey will, certainly, in time write an exact
copy of Tolstoy's "War and Peace".

Aye.
Grandpa used to say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
and
A water treatment worker once said, "Your crap is my bread and butter."

Thank's Foggy, much appreciated.

Kind of like my old Toyota Tercel 4WD Wagon. It had 860,000 miles on it when I sold it. That equals about 3.5 times to the moon or 34.5 times around the earth at the equator, but I never actually made either of those trips.

That post was intentionally posted into the "That's Life" thread. Some of us look there - which means we have to actually sign into C-BRATS.com to see it. Glad you are keeping official. :D

Oh, and that monkey that's doing War and Peace, Might get all the letters the right number of times, but getting them into the right places to make the right words, that is about as likely to happen as our earth just happening from a spark in space. There has to be some intelegence involved.

Thanks for as big smile this morning. Hope your day goes well.

And this will be post number 11297, just FYI.

That monkey probably won't be able to appreciate the value of this forum, nor the heart and spirit that you bring here, Harvey. :thup :thup

And one more: Harvey, thanks for all the energy and affection you add to our little corner of the world. You're a pretty darn big reason why this website is so much fun to be a part of.

Jim and Brock,
Thank you for your kind words. Anything I bring here is returned 10+ fold always. This is where I go to get my water fix when I can't go out and see real water. This is the place for sanity -- most of the time and sharing with good friends, like the two just above thhis post, and where I go to learn so much.

Thank you all. I love this place

:hug :love :hug2

Not that this is a big deal to anyone, but sometimes numbers line up and I just happen to catch them in the right place. So, here today, I have post number 12345. To me that’s pretty amazing. This is such a great place, and there are so many great friends here. Thanks to all for sticking around, keeping the site so good, and sharing in so much knowledge. What a place.

On Sept 27, 2020 I had post # 11111, now I just added 1234 more posts.

No way am I into any kind of math, but sometimes the number thing strikes me.
