Poulsbo 3rd of July cancelled

FYI- we were there last 3rd of July and it was only half full and still a great atmosphere. At dusk, a very impressive but not sanctioned fireworks display was launched from a small floating barge in the bay. It was privately funded and they guy was a professional, it was just not put on by the city. I imagine this will be the case again this year as the man was a local and mentioned doing it numerous times a year. He just could not advertise it.

This hiding in fear crap has to stop.
Mark, I am saddened that you are hiding in fear.

I have been having a ball. I'm learning new skills. I am finding new ways of doing things. True, I am hunkered down in my house far more than I used to, but I do it not out of fear, but out of respect for others and out of respect for science. I am also grateful that medical science has figured out how to create mRNA vaccines quickly. We're going to need them! It's an ironic quirk of evolution that the most sophisticated animal yet evolved (humans) are facing annihilation from the simplest organic form (viruses). Some sort of poetic justice there . Hopefully our skill at modifying DNA and RNA will save us for a few more millennia......everything else has gone extinct over the billions of years, so why not us humans I guess.

P.S. I'm loving me my vaccine. We went out to dinner at a restaurant for dinner with another couple for the 1st time in a year. It's exciting times!

Sandy, what hiding in fear crap is he talking about. We still put about 10,000 miles on our boat trailer last year between March and December. And this year we already have 3,000 miles on the boat trailer. Of course some changes were made to our original plans, and we didn't socialize much. But then again, with politics what they are, I think socializing is overrated! Colby

Yeah, last year we spent 3.5 weeks on the Erie Canal and Finger Lakes. Hadn't been able to arrange a suitable schedule to do that until the pandemic hit.
