Priest Lake Idaho

We were going to spend a week in September with my inlaws on Lake Chelan. Due to the fires most of the NFS docks have been closed or destroyed by the fired and we are now changing our plans.
We are considering Priest Lake in northern Idaho. I was wondering if anyone has cruised this lake. I see that they have a state park at Indian Creek with a dock you can stay overnight. Any feedback would be appreciated. I have also considered the Snake but I have been there before and there are a lot of go fast boats motoring up and down the river.

I've never been to Priest Lake but I remember Yellowstone John speaking highly of it. Why don't you go and check out Dworshak Reservoir out of Lewiston ID and report back? I've heard that's a pretty awsome area

We're heading off toward Lewiston shortly and plan to check out Dworshak -- looks great on the Corps map.
