I am trying to print a Freedom Windlass template from the.....* Freedom Windlass....Installation and Operation Manual * that Maxwellmarine sent me........I am not having much luck doing this....i was told to print it in the....A4 Scale...does anyone have any idea how to do this....Thanks Tug
 
A 4 is an international paper size (scale). A4 (210 mm x 297 mm), the standard in most countries outside North America, is not quite as wide as Letter size (approx. 216 mm x 279 mm) paper and is longer. Letter size is 8.5 x 11 inches. The A4 would be: 8.27" x 11,7"

You probably will be OK printing on letter size. You can check it against the bottom of the winch--if it is off, then change the scale of your printer.
 
thataway...thanks for the information....think the problem was that that template that was sent to me was not to scale ......Rick from Maine sent me a the template in a format that i was able to resize and print in the correct scale.Will check for fit this afternoon....as soon as the ..SNOW..melts. ha!ha! Tug
 
Is a pdf file? Try selecting 8 1/2 x 11 inches paper instead A4.
Most of the time the user can change the paper size, single, duplex, booklet, # pages per page, etc
