Is anyone here using that to flush the motor? I was told by a Honda dealer that they recommended we flush the motor by using a set of the ears (muffs) over the water intake; reason being that the water was warmed better and that it went all through the water system, where using the flush valve didn't.

What's the general consensus?

Thanks in advance.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Don't know about Honda, but my Yamaha service center said to use a barrel or bag to flush, or if that isn't available, mouse ears. I was using the flush port, salt crusted up on the water pump housing, they had to replace it when they put new seals in, they said that was the reason, flush port.
