Question for current owners

Aloha. I am currently the owner of a 22' marine Ford (Bayliner 2252...questionable reliability, expensive to repair/operate) that my family and I use in Puget Sound. I would really like to upgrade to the Honda-like 22' C-Dory (reliable, efficient, and simple). We've been up to the San Juans, but I dream of going further north. My question to the PacNW C-Dory owners is...how far north is "safe sailing" for the 22' C-Dory? I see from the drawings that there is berthing for 3...have any of you put a sleeping bag or two on the floor for a couple of kids?
 
Welcome aboard. Lots of info here on "northern runs" with C-22's. At the very least, go here and follow the travels of two rather seasoned (I'm talkin age and experience) CDory owners.

Jeeze, I hope El doesn't clobber me for that remark. :lol:
