When one looks at factory installed vs owner installed options, one has to consider the difficulty of running hoses and wiring after the boat is built. For the morst part much of the wiring and hoses are run before the interior is finished, thus easier. Can you do it cheaper? most likely. I tend to order these factory options.
The other question is do you want the raw water washdown for anchor chain wash down or for cockpit washdown when fishing. It appears as though many want the cockpit.
