Razor clams

I grew up on the Washington coast, so I was fortunate enough to eat thousands of dollars worth of Razor clams in my youth. I even dug them commercially (they were used for crab bait back then, sort of like using $500 of tackle to catch a salmon). I have tried to find beaches on the west coast of Vancouver Island that have razors, but no luck so far. It seems like the small sandy beaches in the Bunsby's should have them. If so, nobody talks about it.
