Big Big News: Area 7 shrimp reopening
The portion of Marine Area 7 South, which is west of Point Colville on Lopez Island, is reopening for six additional days of recreational spot shrimp fishing, according to start Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist Mark O’Toole in La Conner. The dates are July 29 through Aug. 3, and the open area includes the Iceberg Point and Salmon Bank shrimp fishing grounds. Marine Areas 4, 5, 6, and 7 West remain open daily to all shrimp species.
