RV Campgrounds

We will be staying in the motorhome while the boat is at the factory for a week.
Anyone have info on campgrounds? Thinking about the Fall City area.
I am thinking about Snoqualmie River RV, Tall Chief RV or the Tolt-MacDonald County Park.

:D

Welcome to my neck of the woods! I used to stay at the Tolt-McDonald park all the time as I really like to fish that stretch of river with a fly. I don't think you'll go wrong with either Carnation or Fall City. Carnation is a good 15 minutes further to I-90 though. Plus they are doing bridge repairs on the Preston Fall City Road this summer so expect some delays for that as they have it down to 1 lane till late August.

Hey, you could swing by and see the new boat ;)

Roger,

We have stayed at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, also Saltwater State Park in Des Moines. They are both laid back and restful, off the beaten path, and not too expensive. The State Parks are basic hookups and not overblown with extras. Both were real handy to the old factory location. Not a lot further to the new factory.

Roger,

Dash Point has a limited number of hookup sites. They are water and electric. The drain field has problems and the only sites with sewer are the two camp host spots. How long is your motorhome? This park is old and has limited spaces for the new 35' to 40' rigs. It's mostly in the trees, shade and very quiet. The camping area is east of the main road and the beach area is about 1/2 mile away. That's where all he kids hang out. We were in the truck and camper all three times we used Dash Point.

Saltwater Park is more open and the spots are probably larger. There are no sewer hookups at the sites, and I'm not sure on the electric. The sewer dump is OK and on the way out.

I would call and make reservations on either park. We have generally been in the off season and neither were very busy, but don't know about July.

Roger - like Gary said, Fall City is our neighborhood too. So you could check out his 27 and our 25. We'd love to host you for an evening - there might be a brewery tour in it too, if you were so inclined! Of the three spots you mentioned, the Snoqualmie River RV Park would be my choice. Tolt-McDonald County Park is very nice, but probably more rustic (not really sure, your RV directory probably has more info than I do). Tall Chief does not have a whole lot to recommend it as far as I know, well, it is close to a golf course if that is your thing...

Brent-
Dash Point was looking good--- till I found out that the sewage dump was closed down for repair. Now -- I ain't say'n that I'm full of s#!t, but I would like to be able to dump the tanks if there are no hookup drainage.

Pat-
I am going to make the reservation for Snoqualmie River. I'll take you up on the tour :beer

We have reservations at Snoqualmie River RV Park arriving Monday 8/25 and leaving Friday 8/29.

I will drop the boat off at the factory Monday morning for some gell coat repair and install a wallas. I will pick up the boat Friday and head north to cruise the San Juans with Joel and Sue (SEA3PO)
