Steve of Osprey mentioned his floating dock which prompted me to google Portsmouth, Va to see where that was. Then down to Beaufort, SC where a friend is considering a job, which got me to Savannah. Did a quick cruise via the satellite view of the Savannah River. Looks like quite a good distance of navigable water. I got a far as Augusta to the lock and dam. Having done zero research I just had to throw it out to the Brats. Anyone have local knowledge to this river??? It appears 95% conservation/preservation land with few/no facilities. Just the kind of place I like to go.
