Sea Fighter sightings

My Mukilteo friend tells me he spied the Navy's new Sea Fighter littoral catamaran outside his window cruising at a good clip between Mukilteo and Whidbey Island. Sort of a Tom Cat on steroids!

Any of you C-Brats see it occasionally? Awesome ship. 100 kph? :shock: I see it's destined for the San Diego area.

Man that is UGLY. Quite interesting that they chose jet drive for it though. I would love to see that thing up to speed!

We were talking with a friend who works at Nichols (the boat builder here on Whidbey who built the X-Craft). They ran it up to 50 knots in Saratoga Passage, and threw up a 7 ft wake.... so they've been banned from running at speed locally, and have to run to the Starights before kicking in the turbos-
