My swim step is secured by a 10-12" nylon strap with a "D" ring on one end and velcro-like surface on the bitter end.

My strap is torn and needs to be replaced, but I couldn't find it at any of the marine supply houses. Today I found an almost identical strap at REI:

...and it cost $2.00 for two (obviously not made for marine use, eh?)

Best,
Casey
Only a month and five days until the Powell CBGT ! Yahoo!!

Casey at a buck apiece you can afford to replace them each month for 10 years for the price of one built for "marine" use!!

Charlie,

I was making my "...not for marine use" comment in jest. I bought a set of two figuring I'd have a 'backup ... then realized - oops, I have two swim steps! But I know where to buy 'em!

I inadvertently bought the 18" straps (but they'll work). I should have bought the 12' variety.

I thought they were a pretty good "find."

Best,
Casey

The 12' variety would work too. You could make 12 one foot straps!!

Charlie (gotta watch that "shift" key)
