Just received the April 2008 issue of Soundings Magazine. On pages 40 & 41 there's an article and photo of the Ranger 25. The pickup launching the Ranger 25 has Washington plates. Looks like it might be Jeff Messmer standing in the cockpit?

On page 42 there's an article on the C-Dory 25 Cruiser including that great aerial photo of DAYDREAM and ANNA LEIGH.

Smaller photo at the bottom of the same page shows C-PUFFIN, also a C-Dory 25 Cruiser. Scott & Lori Matthews brought this C-Dory to several CBGT's. Looks like it's FOR SALE and to contact the C-Dory Marine Group in Auburn.

Pages 40-44 discuss a total of eight small trailerable cruisers including the Rosborough RF-246 Sedan Cruiser.

Thanks for the info Ruth and Joe. As for C-Puffin being for sale, does that mean the new owner from Oregon is now selling C-Puffin? I know for sure he bought it from Scott and Laurie about a year ago.

Here's the thread. C-Puffin sold

Peter, I also thought that C-PUFFIN had sold so was surprised to see an ad under it in Soundings. Perhaps the photo is supposed to represent any C-Dory 25 Cruiser?? The ad doesn't say what year the boat is so it might be a new C-Dory that they're referring to????

Here's the ad located under the C-Puffin photo: LOA: 25 feet, 5 inches. BEAM: 8 feet 6 inches. DRAFT: 10 inches. WEIGHT: 3600 pounds. HULL TYPE: semidisplacement. TANKAGE: 100 gallons fuel, 23 gallons water. POWER: single 150 - or twin 90hp outboards. SPEED: 30 mph (top). PRICE: $59,085 (without power). CONTACT: C-Dory Marine Group, Auburn, Wash. Phone (253) 839-0222.

Pat, it's been well over a year since we first went looking for an issue of Soundings. After checking B'Ham West Marine (nothing there) we found the magazine at Boaters World but don't know if they're still carrying it. Will check tomorrow when we're out.

Don't know what you'll find on the Soundings website but here it is: www.soundingsonline.com

Pat, we used to get it regularly on "the other" coast but it seems harder to find out here. I just subscribed to it before I found out that if you can wait 2 months you can download it from the site !

Pat,

I've seen Soundings up at the check out at Boater's World. We took our first ride on the C Puffin with Scott. The boat at the time had a Honda 130.

All,

I just picked up my copy of Soundings from Boater's World at Janzen Beach in Portland. There were 4 copies left on the shelf. It looks like a good issue.
