For those of you who know Russ and Toni Portner, formerly of the CD25 Cruiser Traveler, they now have a Ranger 27 (also Traveler) and are touring the East Coast.

Here's a shot of them in NYC for the 4th weekend!

They're headed back here in a month or so, will use our pier while they go down to Florida to pick up truck/trailer. We envy them!

Sorry, I cannot get the picture up but click on the link!

Passing by the Statue of Liberty on your own boat is quite an experience; as is some time at Liberty Landing Marina while you explore the BIG city. Those two know how to do it up right. :D

Best wishes,
Jim B.

I dropped the dinghy to get the photo of Toni & Traveler in front of the Statue of Liberty, BIG chop from ferries and some current but it had to be done. We actually ended up staying at Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club Marina for a week, this being our last day.

While here we did the New York City City Bus Tour, Times Square, Central Park, American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, , Top of the Rock, two Broadway Shows, 4th of July Fireworks, viewed Ground Zero, and traveled on ferries, busses, subway, and foot. We have had a wonderful time and the Ranger 27 has been a great performer and home on this entire trip. In over 1600 miles of travel up the East Coast we have explored a lot of American History and made many, many new friends. Truly a trip we will remember the rest of our lives.

Russ and Toni,

Sounds like a trip of a lifetime! Loved your photo "road trip" in your album. We're looking forward to seeing more photos and both of you when you return.

Be safe,

Don and Dee

Russ and Toni,
Kate and I, as everyone else who know you, look forward to seeing you back up here. What a great trip and adventure you have been on.

We are looking forward to getting back in the Northwest and cooler weather, it's 104 degrees as we pass through Missouri at this writing. Toni's Dad is not well and we need to be home for a bit, but we still hope to get some San Juan cruising in soon.

Tom Elliot, Toni and I have talked about having you and Susan down if the fishing is good, I'll stay in touch.

And thank you so much to Charlie and Sally Vinroot who showed us extraordinary C-Brat hospitality and became our good friends.
