I can't take it anymore, I'm going to badger some columbia river spring chinook early next week. I'll be fishing out of Ridgefield if anybody wants to go.

you troll fishing these or anchor fishing? I have been wanting to Take boat down to columbia for springers and buoy 10 but the whole river thing has me gun shy, have done it in a jet before (springers)

oh and good luck wish I could break free

call in sick monday or wednesday :) the lower river offers a few challenges but nothing to be feared, just respected. I'm no springer wiz but I like to anchor up on an outgoing tide and just kick back and watch the kwikfish work. A lot of folks troll on the incoming and anchor on the outgoing.

Looks interesting, I'll PM.

How did you guys do on the springers?

The fishing on the Columbia around ridgefield was so poor, I packed up and headed to palm springs. Wednesdays adventure was canceled but I did sneak out for about an hour by myself mainly to make sure everything was in order before the kid took over command

The kid worked the river over yesterday and got one hit on a kwikfish on anchor. He said there where a lot of boats on the river and didn't see any fish caught. He reported that the highlight of the day was sitting in the boat out of the downpour with the heater blasting while watching an open guide boat full of customers, all wearing garbage sack rain coats

have to love the cabin on days like that.... bumb deal on the slow action..
