Glad you found the answer. What was it? lol. My side windows, once closed all the way, can be a bit sticky to open back up. So occasionally I'll spray silicone around the seals, and that helps. Colby

Sprayed a few different things to get window to slide easier over last 2 seasons. But ended up with a film that took forever to remove from window. Razor blade and all kinds of cleaning products,still not sure what caused it.

Liquid Rollers or any dry silicone spray is the answer. Any grease will accumulate salt and grit.

For me, it's not so much the windows that are sticking but the latch itself.

On one of my windows if it is closed too firmly it is very hard to get open again. It requires something to pry the window open. It seems that the window goes too far forward and jams. The is more closed than the latched engaged position.

There is an older post that shows someone who put something in the track to keep the window from closing too far. Perhaps this is also your problem.

Clean the track with vinegar/water, then spray Liquid Rollers - the windows will slide easily. When it gets sticky again, repeat.

Clean and spray dry silicon on all parts of the latch also. We lost one of our latches--new one is on order--this happens. I was being a bit too forceful trying to close the window in a hurry when a rain squall hit...!!

I suspect that there may be some "Gunk"in the forward weather seal strip- clean this as well as the bottom, and put the silicone spray on it also.

Use "white Vinegar" for the cleaning as Jim suggests. A tooth brush and Simple Green can clean it up in stubborn cases. Also be sure that the hole in the bottom of the track aft is clean, and water drains out easily.

I like to use something along the lines of McLube Sailkote. It's a dry lubricant (doesn't attract dirt) which also doesn't contain silicone.

I agree with clean the tracks. It's hard to remember a time that I have been out on the boat that I did not get salt spray on the windows, so when washing down the boat on haul out, I don't just rinse and dry the windows, I flush copiously the windows and the tracks so that the salt goes out the track drain. Flood that plenty, and you don't have to do much in the way of spray adjuncts.

I do use the liquid rollers, usually when I put the boat in for the winter. Have not heard of or tried SailKote, but I have never gone wrong using something Sunbeam recommended.
