still on going engine problems honda 135

Hi

My engine alarm goes off after running at cruising speeds for a while when I drop down to idle. My tach gauge shows two indicators. One is temp the other is PGM-F1...I have been to 3 "mechanics" spent a lot on money and the problem still is going on....Tomorrow I am hooking the engine up to a honda computer again trying to find what sensor is causing the alarm. On line I read about people having trouble with a O2 sensor?????
Any thoughts out there...This is driving me nuts and costing me a lot of money

p.s. we put in new thermostats and a new impeller. Also I pulled the two sensors on the impeller housing and the alarms went off right away????
 
Have you had the battery and the ground wires check yet? Low voltage, bad grounds, bad battery will cause all of that. I would do the easy stuff first might not be anything wrong on the motor.
 
I have a small oil leak coming from the gasket that is located under the pulley on top of the engine. I think that some oil is being sucked into the air filter...Could this throw -off the O2 sensor. Checking on line it seems that the O2 sensor is mentioned often in situations like mine??????????????????

One problem I have had with a completely different engine on my little fishing skiff, is that the fuel line was run very close to the engine/manifold.

After running at high RPM/speed for a time and then coming back to idle, the fuel line would get a vapor lock (I was told the heat could "boil" the fuel in the line). We live in very hot NC. The engine would not start again for a very, very long time after shutting down.

For a iime, when coming off speed I would let it run at idle for a while to "cool down" before shutting it off. This solved the restart problem.

I have since re-routed the fuel line with no more problems.

Just another (random) data point......
