sun protection for fuel line?

The fuel line from the fuel filter to the primer bulb then to the motor sits in the well behind the transom in my 16' Cruiser. The boat spends a lot of its time shaded in a covered wet slip, but is there some product that I could use to protect the fuel lines while out in the sun?

A sleeve of some sort, or is ArmourAll just as good?

You certainly could use any type of sun protection. Generally fuel lines also deteriorate on the inside, so replacing every 7 to 10 years is a wise investment. I would avoid ArmourAll. 303 Aero Space protectorate is far superior. ArmourAll has petroleum distillates which make it look good for a short time, but in the long run may be harmful. There are people who argue with this. The 303 has content which helps to prevent loss and restore plasticizers in the lines and has UV blocking properties. It works well on fenders, vinyl materials, including dinghies, and there are other special treatments for fabrics, including Sunbrella. We wash our canvas, and then spray it with protectorates. I buy it by the gallon--much cheaper than in the spray bottles.
 
I use split wire loom on my fuel line and transducer cables. I also cover the vhf antenna cable and gps antenna cable where it is exposed to the sun. It’s cheap and when the sun gets it peal it off and replace. Just order what size fits.
