Thinking about selling our C-dory 25 cruiser.

We have fully outfitted our 25 for cruising. We have over $60,000 in to it. We just returned from a Lake Superior cruise of the North Shore, about 150 miles and not a single hiccup. We have the opportunity to buy a large (40+ foot), slow cruising boat. And although that's not our preference, we find we will need to live at the dock for some of the upcoming summers and the 25, although capable, is too small for us and our dog, our hobbies, laundry, etc... for entire summers. It is an excellent vehicle for exploring remote places. We would prefer to have our boat sold prior to making an offer on the next boat. We are experienced live aboards and have made what we believe to be some practical and useful cruising mods to the boat for extended exploring. It has the Honda 130, it purrs like a kitten. That engine has a new alternator, there is an all new battery bank, modern charging systems, all zip in camper back canvass in like new condition, door and window screens, two anchors and rodes, teak holders for various items and mesh hammocks for food storage. All systems check out just fine. It has a nice trailer that has been across the country twice, has newer tires and is ready for it's next mission. This is a mostly fresh water boat. Gel coat is in good shape, hull and deck recently surveyed. We are asking $60,000. This is a 2003 boat. It is located on Lake Superior. Cheers! Todd and Susan

Putting the boat in the "For sale by owner" will help. Pictures are almost essential. How many hours on the engine? What electronics, and age. Auto pilot? Stove or heater etc all help to sell the boat.

Having been up and down in size thru the years, we certainly understand that decision.
