Tomcat height on an EZ Loader trailer.

I just measured my Tomcat which is sitting on an EZ Loader trailer. The overall height is somewhat between 12' 8" and 12' 10".

This includes a 22" radar arch and a Furuno 4kw dome. The 22" radar arch actually sits approximately 14.5" above the highest portion of the pilothouse because of the slope in the pilothouse roof.

For those thinking of trailering in Alaska, the maximum allowable height on the state ferry is 13' 5".

Napoleon measures about the same to the top of my GPS receiver (13'). It definitely gets your attention going under bridges on the highway at 55 MPH!

My radome sits on a pedestal on top of the radar arch, to get it higher than the dink. Thanks for the warning about the ferry height limitation. I will have to modify my rig if I want to go on the ferry since I run at close to 14'. I had to take the radome off in order to get my boat into Brent's (Discovery) old garage, with a 14' door opening (the door itself ate a couple of inches, plus it sagged. :xseek )

When we purchased Discovery, from the factory. I ordered a custom short radar arch, from "Rail Makers". The overall height with the radar dome is 11' 10". I did this to clear a 12' overhead door, on the old garage. We have solar panels on the cabin roof, and don't carry a dingy up there. The radar works fine on the shorter arch.

Warren, The garage I put your boat into has a 13' door height. I think your boat would measure just over 14' high.
