You need to go to original post.. Then put the new header--what ever the update is.... Then the body of the text.
Several things may have an effect on the sale. One is price, the next is location (especially In the winter). After 3 months the initial post may be taken down. Photos and a more complete inventory list often help to sell the.boat.
Hopefully you will find a nearby buyer, but you may have to make accommodations, such as a lower price to allow for transport. Or offer to meet a buyer in the middle. Also the Alton Il gathering in Sept. may be an excellent place to show the boat, if it is not yet sold.
You can't edit a for sale listing, but you can add another post in that thread. Joe's suggestion to you regarding photos and as much detail as possible will give perspective buyers more to go on. Good luck with the sale.
