Vancouver Island by Motor Scooter? Good Road Map?

Patty and I are planning to take a road trip on Vancouver Island on our Honda PCX150 scooters someday, maybe this summer. We would want to travel fairly short distances each day, stay off the island freeway as much as possible, explore the towns along the way a bit, and stay in motels as we work our way up island and hopefully cross island to the west coast. So I went on Amazon looking for a good Vancouver Island road map. There are a few road maps but they all had poor reviews as not being detailed enough to be useful, while all the rest were kayaking or hiking guides, which would not be helpful to us.

So Canadian friends, do any of you know what is the best Vancouver Island road map? If somebody coming to Friday Harbor could pick one up for us, we would gladly reimburse the costs. Thanks!

Pat, What a cool idea for a trip.

As you know, maps in Canada are free enterprise, so there are several different suppliers, not like the US (used) to be where you could get a free road map at any gas station.

I bet you are a AAA member, and if you are, have you tried their Vancouver Island map? I am putting mine in to bring for you to check, just in case.
