Where's Joe?

Joe, I have been out of the loop since the boat show and was just alerted as to your medical adventure. Another one of life's many adventures and this is one that is good to have behind you.

Sounds like, as onerous as it was, things are working out well. Best of health to you, we can do without any more of these inconveniences.

Take care.

Has anybody heard any more from Charlie? We did have one post from him after the cataract operation and we communicated privately by e-mail, but that was almost a week ago. Joe.

Not to worry- Here's the text of my last PM from Charlie-

Joe, am fine. The operation was quite easy, I've got 20/20 in the operated eye, could see almost immediately afterwards. It'll be a little dicey doing computer work and reading until I get the second eye done.

I can drive, if I have trouble seeing, I just close one eye. If I get scared, I close both of them....

Be glad you don't live in driving distance...

Second eye scheduled for 7 Feb, third one for 21 Feb.

Joe Glad to hear your still ticking. that must have lite up your lights!! (yes on the pund) Did they say how long you have been out of whack? What did your wife tell them?

Charlie, Glad to here about the eye going so well.Susan And I really enjoyed your company at the show. Let us all know haw the next one goes. I will be looking into getting my eyes done soon. 37 years out of 40 with glasses is enough I think. Hpoe you can get on the water soon.

TOM-

I really don't know about how long the heart was out of whack, but had to be no more than the three months since my last Dr.'s visit.

My wife thinks I've always had a whacky sense of humor, which will be no surprise to my C-Brat friends. Kind of fun to be wierd. B~C would know.

Speaking of getting whacked, the hospital has charged my HMO for $157,431.90 and still counting for the pleasure of laying on my back for 5 days! I think I'll let them buy me the new C-Ranger 25 instead!

If I have to pay the bill myself out of pocket, I'll wind up shore fishing with a cane pole for subsistence. Such is life, I guess. And to think I was looking forward to retirement to escape the everyday pressures of life and spend some time fishing and boating.

Joe.
