Winterizing in NJ

The easiest method is to just pump all the water out of your tank, then close your water heater valves, dump a couple gallons of the pink antifreeze (RV antifreeze for potable water systems) into your water thank, and run that through the system by turning on your pump and opening each spigot, one at a time, until you see the pink antifreeze coming out. Then insure your water heater is drained completely. IN the spring flush out with clean water, and open your water heater valves back up, flushing out what little bit of pink antifreeze got into it's lines. Don't forget to add antifreeze to your shower drain and water heater drain box.
