Looks like a great turnout. I recognize some of them folk! :-) I'm there in spirit with you all. Rosanne is having a great time and staying busy in El Salvador. (She's with a medical mission group "Helping Hands".) I get a Whats App message from her nightly. Took her and two friends to the MSN airport Friday at 4am. Those of you that know me, know how happy I was getting up at 3am. (I should have just stayed up Thursday night. My normal bed time is closer to that than my normal wake up time. lol) I'll pick them up this Saturday at 11pm. Time much more to my liking!
:) Enjoy the gathering. It's one of the best. Colby

Thanks to all of the C Brats at the Hontoon gathering for calling to say "Hello" at their lunch today. Thanks to John Highsmith who arranged the call. It looks like a great number of boats, C Brats and good weather! Have fun!

At most state parks you would not be able to make a reservation this early. The new concession at Hontoon does allow us to make reservations even this far ahead. If you are thinking of coming to the gathering next year, I encourage you to make reservations early. I’m sure most will be back and we’re looking forward to a lot of new people in 2027. I conferred with the park manager before I left and they are going to put the fire pit back in for next year and add extra benches in the marina area. They definitely want us back and everyone I talked to that attended this year had a great time.

To reserve contact Riley Jackson 386-873-7210
Dates are March 9,10,10 2027 but a lot of us arrive on the 8th.
Riley is a real sweet gal and a pleasure to talk to.

See you at Hontoon!

… and a good time was had by all

Announcement. After 3 years of no camping on the island I am happy to announce that we will be able to make reservations at the park
The last years have been a little challenging for our gathering however we always had a great time. C-Brats are always ready to be part of the adventure. Joyce and I are looking forward to visiting with friends…both old and new. Hontoon does NOT have an onsite park manager at this time so I am not sure what tables and chairs they will allow us to use but we will work things out. We are going to spend 5 days on the river by Hontoon starting Nov. 14th and will gather additional information.

To make a reservation you must call this number. 833-953-2583 THE FLORIDA RESERVATION SYSTEM DOES NOT COVER HONTOON AT THIS TIME. If this changes I’ll post here.
Please do not say this is a group reservation. I was told that they were not set up for groups but we can make reservations as individual boats. There are only about 30 slips available and it’s first come first served by reservation.
Slips are $23.00 per night with power available for $9.00 additional per night……plus tax.

Will be posting more in a week or so. Looking forward to seeing C-Dorys and other trailer trawlers on the St. John’s.

For anyone having questions needing a quick response please send me a personal message with a phone number and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks …Tom and Joyce on the C- Otter

Did we miss the registration deadline?

Did we miss the registration deadline?
No, this is from last years thread. C-Otter will be on the river early November and will touch base with the park staff to see where we stand for the 2027 gathering. He’ll start a new thread for that when the time comes.
