I put a backing plate in the back of the middle shelf to hide the wires and prevent stuff from falling in the back.

I lost a few inches of height on the middle shelf in the cabinet but have the V-berth storage open to compensate now.

This all comes apart fairly easily if I ever have to change a throttle cable or ignition switch. Everything is screwed together.
