    Loran C Demise

The planet is now three inches off it's axis due to the earthquake in Chile. GPS's will gradually become inaccurate. Think Loran-C might get a little respect now? Bill

    Loran C Demise

Hello all you pessimists. Before you throw your Lorans in the trash can, you can give it to me. This optimist has heard rumors for many years, they were closing down Lorans. I already know that they are not going to tear down those transmitters. Logic tells me that the new president...

    C-Dory Sightings

The new West Marine "2010" annual Catalog has a picture of what looks like a 19ft Angler C-Dory coming in an inlet with a light house. I would guess it is on the East coast. Check page 136. Maybe someone can pin it down. Bill

Disconnecting LORAN is asking for trouble. I support denny-o. GPS is wonderful and simple to operate until the screen goes black. Yes - I have a LORAN-C and I like the accuracy. Bill

    Tell me I'm wrong

Last year I found the drain plug tube was fractured and leaking water. Don't know how long it's been that way. The tube from the splash pan was short and allowing water into the wooden portion of the transom. Thinking the Tolands were still there, I took the boat in to have the transom sealed...

    Tomcat transom leak

That's odd!! My 1991 C-Dory Cruiser has the tip of a screw on the inside of the transom midway to the Portside. I recently noticed very minor leakage of water. On the outside, no screw head is visable. I have covered that portion of the boat for the time being. Does the new C-Dory owner...
