    New C-Dory coming in

The rules of the Seattle Boat Show prohibit used boats being displayed. It is good to see that Waypoint will have a boat at the show. Anybody who is thinking of buying a new 25, or upgrading this cold be a great opportunity. And don't wait until the show if you want one soon. I'm sure they'll...

    C-dory factory on fire

I am hopeful that they are back in production soon. I'm wondering how far the molds were from the fire. When Pacific Mariner had their fire the molds outside looked okay, but the intense heat caused them to warp and ultimately be unusable. My fingers are crossed and good thoughts are being...

    Interesting new cruiser

I always thought the Mainship 31 was one of the nicest looking boats in that class. The 32's aft bulkhead leaves me cold, and the tumblehome transom eats up pace for the cockpit... I think they ruined a nice looking boat.

    Suzuki DF150 & DF175 battery-isolator

There is an optional second charge output on the motor, although I don't think we've ever utilized it as the output isn't very great.

C-Dory or Arima as Fire Department / Fire Rescue Boat

The removable dive door will probably be a huge issue, as it would compromise the structure of the boat significantly. With no stringer system, the C-Dory uses the boat hull and deck to provide structure, and i think cutting a "door" into the hull will be a huge issue. And even if it could be...

    Warrenton, OR, cannery fire

I remember going by that everytime we went out and came back when we kept the boat in Warrenton each summer for salmon fishing.

    Shaft length for CD22

transom height on all 22 C-Dory's we have seen and rigged is 20" Long Shaft. We have two 22's in the yard right now and they are both long shaft. 40 and 50 horsepower motors are only offered in 20" length, so it has to be a 20" for them to fit.

    Battery Types?

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and Gel batteries are very different from the standard lead-acid battery. They may require different charging voltages and different charging profiles. So bu same type, they mean that all batteries must be lead-acid, or all AGM< or all Gel. It's a bad idea to mix types...

    Which towing service is better?

Whichever one has boats in your area. :)

Seek recommendations for sources of boat loans

Key Bank usually has pretty good boat loan terms. People's Bank has a boat loan program. On an older boat you will probably need a survey to determine value, as NADA and other guides don't value C-Dory's properly.

    Triton now Northwest Marine Industries?

Just to clarify- Palmer owns Defiance- not Parker (although the boats are very similar). Shamrock is out of business. At one time we were a dealer for both Shamrock and Defiance. Palmer went out of business. A new company, Defiance Boat Works was formed. Defiance Boat Works (Palmer) is...

    Triton now Northwest Marine Industries?

We do. We would be interested in being a dealer again with the right situation. I don't see that happening anytime soon. :(

    Triton now Northwest Marine Industries?

I'm not sure what leads you to that conclusion. Carsten is owned by Stan Palmer, who is the owner of Defiance Boatworks, which owns Defiance. They have recently purchased Arima. I have been told they are building Sorrenson dinghies. I don't know if they own the brand or not. Defiance...
