    Winter mods (update)

Awesome, thanks. If you get a chance some pics of under the sink and the hose connections would be great, so I can mentally build it first. This is going to be so much better than washing hands in kitchen sink. Thanks

Can you go into more detail about the sink. I love it, and want one. Thanks in advance.

    SeaDek flooring? Opinions or experience?

I might suggest, from the sailing world and local to the northwest, Raptor deck. It looks pretty sweet.

    Cooktops

We enjoy the butane stove on our tomcat, and just use the wallas for heat. Butane stoves are so compact and easy we like it over our Coleman too.

Sliding Window Pane Replacement - Help!

I agree, don't bother with DSG, its hopeless trying to contact them and get results. Go to a glass shop, custom cut, done.

Trip from Virginia to Alaska with Tomcat in tow.

Pwsuser, I have a question for you. I have the same boat as you, in looking at your pictures I noticed that the strakes are gone on the outside edge of your bracket. How is the spray when cruising at speed into the cockpit and is the bracket quite wet? My concern is that those strakes cause a...

    Inflatable

We have a 10 foot Saturn inflatable, seems fine for what it is. Its 100lbs, so over the bow and onto the tomcat roof with my wife works fine. Then I use a garhauer crane to lift my 20hp suzuki from its transom mount onto the dinghy. Outboard doubles as a kicker if all else fails. Regarding...

Is my old fashioned Armstrong Bracket allowing salt water in

I looked at your pictures. Interesting how varied the brackets are. Mine is a 2006 tomcat with the longer bracket, but I have a 2 inch wide strake/fin that runs along the bottom edge from front to back on the outside edge of the bracket. It sticks out at a 45 degree angle.

Classic 22 Project Updates and Questions

On my classic 22 restoration, I replaced the transom with 4 layers of 1/4 inch marine plywood, with biaxial cloth in between. Hope to get back to working on the hull with better weather, pilothouse is painted and complete, ready for reattachment!!! Good luck.

Bow rail for 16' Angler wanted

I believe they are made by Pooderbuilt, same guy as in a previous post. Dwayne Mackie. He makes brackets too, they are near Ferndale. Edit, you beat me to it

    Garhauer Davits

I would call garhauer, they were pretty helpful when I ordered my lifting davit a few weeks ago. Shipping was about 25 bucks to Bellingham.

    Boat vintage and hull design

Also, unlike the plywood floor, the transom is about 2 inches of balsa. Probably to accommodate the curvature.

    Hauling a tomcat255

No load equalizing hitch used up from california, no problems. Thats with towing a 35 ft. sailboat and a tomcat, not at the same time of course!! Go Dodge diesel!

    Hauling a tomcat255

When we bought our tomcat my 2006 dodge diesel had no problem towing to Bellingham from the Bay Area. Anything less would be sketchy unless it's a couple of miles. We could just barely hold 60 mph going up the pass to mount Ashland with the truck floored, I was impressed.
