    Transducers

Sorry-meant to say the transducer is in the bilge under the stove next to the sump pump. Works well at all speeds and depths. Pete

    Transducers

My Garmin transducer is epoxied inside in the small bilge under the sink in my 22. I tested it first in a baggie filled with water to be sure it would work. Garmin was also OK with this installation. I can read temps at a slower rate but we can see them. I have not had any problems with this...

    Sealing rub rail

Last weekend when I pulled the anchor it stuck the finish end piece of the rub rail. This is a small black triangular plastic piece that is pressure fitted into the end of the rub rail to give a finished appearance. Does anyone have suggestions where I can my buy one? (2000 22 Dory). Thanks, Pete

Permatrim for Pompano 22 C Dory

I installed Permatrim on my 22 Dory this weekend. It took about 1 hour and ten holes in my 90 HP Honda. The hardest part was working off a floater and trying to keep from dropping any tools in the water. We tested the Permatrim for two days-it has improved the handling-we can now see the...

    dorky in-hull transducer video ;D

After conversation with the techs at Garmin, they said the transom transducer that came with my new Garmin GPS/sounder would work by just gluing to the hull. The hull must be solid-not cored. I tested the small bilge under the stove in my 22 by placing the transducer in a baggie filled with...

    Scissor chocks?

Have you looked at Ultra-Tow? They offer a tandem wheel chock that has a ratchet fitting at the top of the scissors-no hole in fenders needed. I see them on Northern Tool and Equipment web site (NorthernTool.com). It is item #3650401-1106 and costs $39.99 a pair.

    CDory Cabin Keys

I had same problem when I purchase my 22. I took the the lock set off and took it to the lock locksmith (Elliot Brothers in Winston Salem, NC). They did not even blink when I handed them the lock set and told them I did not have a key. Two hours later they called back and said I could pick up...

Transducer losing the bottom in rough seas

I took my Garmin transducer off of my transom after erratic readings and mounted it inside the cabin in the bilge under the stove (after discussing this with Garmin). This has solved all problems-the transducer is out of harm's way-only issue is slow response time to water tempeature. Pete

    Transducer Signal Loss

After struggling with similar issues of poor operation from the transom mounted transducer, I removed it and mounted it in the small bilge inside the cabinets under the stove. I contacted Garmin and they said it would work fine if it is mounted in an area where the hull is not cored. I tested...
