    Welcome to the C-Brats!

Coal Miner I live on the mainland, so if our over this way, let me know. Not sure how close you are to buying but. there was a Cdory dealer in Langley that has been dropped by them as they couldn't supply follow up service. They have had a nicely loaded 25 sitting in the yard for over a year...

    Vancouver Island Fungus

Boris; I travel over to the west coast of the island quite a bit and have never had a problem, but then again I'm not "over 60" (yet) or taking "oral steroids" either. Something to keep in mind!!! Jimbo

SEA LICE, SALMON - CANADA (BRITISH COLUMBIA)

Like I said on an earlier post, just winding down the fish farming during spawning time would be a big help. Let them go at it for the rest of the year. Jimbo

    New 19 Angler Owner

My introduction to Cdory was when MY WIFE spotted it at our local boat show 4 years ago. She thought it was "unique and cute." That's when the quest began to own one.... Jimbo

SEA LICE, SALMON - CANADA (BRITISH COLUMBIA)

In response to Adelines entry, I watched a documentary on this lady a year or so ago. She convinced the DFO to shut down the farm fishing one year while the wild salmon where passing by all the pens to head for the rivers and creeks to spawn. It was one of the highest rates of return in recent...

    C-Dory 22 Center Console

Congrats on your new boat. I will also vouch for the trim tabs, a must on these boats. Not sure how you will make out wakeboarding, its hard to get a good wake out of these flat bottom boats Jimbo

    Variable Pitch Propellers

My brother has a 18 foot Hourston with a 350 I/O in it, turning a 21" 3 blade stainless prop, on one of the Okanagan Valley lakes. He knew his boat mechanic really well and talked the guy into letting him try a variable pitch prop that he had brought in, for a couple of weeks. It took him 2 days...

The Cruising Adventures of Wild Blue and crew...

ya know Jim, I'm not sure you should giving us all this day to day adventure stuff because when you write your autobiography which, from reading this form, I'm sure you will do, none of us will need to buy it as we've already read it all here. Jimbo

    Bamfield, Vancouver Island

Good article, I knew it was a telegraph station but never realized it was manned by "kilt wearing Scottish sentries" during the war. Can't imagine what the locals would have thought when these guys with funny accents and wearing skirts arrived. Was out there once a few years ago on a fishing...

trim tabs, do I need them? Brand or model choice..

Tom; Not sure what size of tabs you have, I know mine are oversized and that really adds to the sensitivity of them. As noted above I would suggest trying to get out on a calm day and play with them a bit. Try dumpimg them full on while you are planning and get to know how the boat reacts under...

    1986

BBS I bought my 1981 "Hunky Dory" (yes that's what they were called in 1981) 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. I would STRONGLY recommend trim tabs though, makes a world of differance in the chop. Still running the 1988 88hp Johnson that it came with too. Jimbo

New C-Dory 25 is cheaper today than in 2002

When we make the trek down, we usually use the truck crossing. Since 911 the waits have been bad. What used to be 1/2 hour now turns into 2 hours, and it is a hassle. Apparently everyone entering the States now is a suspect, even with a passport. With the construction at the Peace Arch it will...

    More QC Issues

With the fair amount of talk about quality control these days, I thought I'd report on an issue we had with QC this past weekend. We were up at our cabin on Sat. and had a visit from some friends who invited us up to their place, which was about a 15 min run up the lake, for dinner. We gladly...

New Boat Lots of Small Problems 2007/8 C-Dory 22 Cruiser

Do the new 2007 22's have scuppers (sp??) in them? Or can they be added? Almost sounds like that is what he is talking about in regard the bilge problem. I would agree with the above posts. My boat is an oldy but a goody, you will like this boat on the water. Jimbo

    New Owner

Harm; Welcome to CDoryland from a fellow Canuck. Great group of people. If you have a CDory question, pretty sure you will find an answer here. Where did you pick up your new boat from? Where do you plan on cruising? Maybe we can hook up. Jimbo
