    Reposition batteries

Has anyone ever put two batteries on the floor of the cockpit between the two fuel tanks on a 22' cruiser? I like the sound of it to even out the weight and gain more storage in my lazarettes and under the sink. It also seems it would make battery access easier. Worries: I ocean most of the...

    Lake Mohave Cruise Feb 12-16

Thanks Chris, Yes, I figured I could find you. If I make it I imagine it will be Saturday am or Friday late. Joel, good idea (though as a former Marine I hate to admit a 'squid' is correct) and I will take some pics of the frame in case others may experience the same or have advice. Chris...

    Lake Mohave Cruise Feb 12-16

I'd like to stick my toe in on this one. I don't think I can make all of it but would like to participate still. The lake is not that big so I imagine I could find you somehow. I have seen several Big Horn here myself, magnificent animals !!!! Have to fix a cracked frame on my trailer but I...

    Draining the water tank?

I have Bob's old CD22 and yes, that T fitting on the inside of the cabin, under the rear door, works very conveniently to drain the water tank. Just buy a T with a gasketed cap on the third (drain) end and bamn! you are set. Jeff

    Coast Guard Documentation

My boat is documented, 22' Cruiser, and I love it that way. No numbers, a one-time fee and then free renewals yearly. It came that way when I bought it from Dr Bob a few years ago and I would not change it. Gives it a unique look with no visible state numbers or stickers and I love "educating"...

    Fuel Primer Bulb vacuum compressed

Hello everyone, Did a search, but want to double check. Last time out, using the port tank, my main engine died. First time it ever has, in two years use. It is a 1992 22' cruiser. Kicker made me feel safe when the motor died and I researched the problem. I went straight to the fuel primer...

    Portable washdown/shower

Thanks Jim, that sounds like a GREAT idea and I already have one of those to spray the trailer wheels off with after ocean launches. But I use to leave it in the truck. Funny how solutions are often hitting you straight in the face and you cant see them.... It shall soon be painted black and...

    Portable washdown/shower

Jim B, Do you mean one of those 'pump up and down to get pressure' tanks that people use to put liquid fertilizers or bug spray in? It sure would be nice to have something on board to get that scratchy salt water off my body after diving in.

Kayak storage on a 22 Cruiser

Jim, Thanks for the pictures, they really helped me out. For one thing, I was imagining the mounts hooking to the very edges of the cabin top, not the parallel hand rails on top. That's why I wondered if they were "tall enough" to rise above those very same roof rails your towers are mounted...
