the run out from port alberni is definately a first light proposition in the summer months. the thermal winds kick up every day about 10:30, it can get real nasty around nahmint bay. once tou reach chup point area you can get out of it. the launch and parking at the public ramp are both good.

we live in the comox/ campbell river area. if you are up this way we have a very good knowledge of discovery passage and northward. would love to meet if you get this far.

there is a very good anchorage about half way up nelson island from pender harbour heading towards egmont. it is green bay, a very good bottom. we used to crosstie in the small bay on your port side heading in to the back of the main bay. a small creek comes in here. excellent oysters also!

sea wolf we just got back last night from a 4 dayer at telegraph cove. weather and wind conditions were perfect but the fishing sucked! we will be up that way lots in august and september. only saw 1 other c-dory this trip but i guess everyone was up at broughton island. hope to see more c-brats...

we were up at winter harbour last week and got 2 feeder springs about 10 pounds and a 68# and 134# halibut, 4 snappers and 20# of shrimp tails and a dozen nice crabs. not bad for the first trip out with our c-dory!

we have a 22 cruiser with a 75 honda. when running at wot our gps speed is 28 mph trimmed out, prop is 13.5 by 15. our tach reads 3400 rpm and at cruise of 19.8 mph it reads 2800 rpm. this is obviosly wrong, is there an adjustment on the tach or anywhere else?

we got the windows sliding again, washed out the track and scrubbed it with hot water and dish soap then slid a small scraper between the inner rubber and the window. had to push handle forwards to realease the latch, will lube her up good after it all dries. sometime in august :lol: it only...
