Reccomended Fall cruise Adventures with proven rig storage

Please elaborate. Is that due to current that you call it "hairy and scary"?

    Marina Recommendation

Great Place. I like the way people can make comments on Active Captain and perhaps it would serve us well to, as you say, have a thread for Marina Reviews. Our needs are often different than the 'big boat' Marinas. We still need most of the services of the big boat marinas (pump-out, electric...

    Boat Covers

Sounds easy and is what I do for the old plywood Driftboat I have.

    Boat Covers

I suspect that all of you C-Dory owners have it all together, not a detail missed, and as soon as you return from a trip with your boats in tow, they have a perfectly fitted cover pulled over them. I lost my cover, left it on a the dock, while at Hontoon last year. A new cover is not in the...

    Engine Lanyard

To be honest....Two weeks ago I was trolling on Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Mts of NE PA. I was at idle speed with one engine and was moving along at 1.5-2knts. I noticed something wrong with one of the trolling rigs and before even thinking I simply walked out of the cabin and grabbed the...

    Engine Lanyard

Lol, It goes for all of us...the need to be careful. This subject bothers me in that while I agree with the rules it is harder and harder to apply those rules on a more and more complex type of boat.

Gerhard if I'm on your boat I won't be napping, I'll be looking at you.

    Engine Lanyard

Don't know how the lanyard could help me out in the cabin and out on deck I'd have to install a secondary switch to hook up to. Karl have you figured a way to test that MOB electronic lanyard. And does it meet the letter of the law?

    Engine Lanyard

Does yours get used? Did you extend its length? What do the ruled say?

    Boat Name Sticker

my son printed ours on his vinyl printer with vinyl sheeting from Hobby Lobby. It seems no matter how hard we tried you almost can't use heavy enough or thick enough lettering. Se here how the factory emblem overwhelms the letters we added.

    Flags

"Modern day proper etiquette": I don't see any consistency out there. Water travel seems like a free for all sometimes. Perhaps no flags are better than wrongly located flags.

    Flags

I see there is some agreement among you all that the USA Flag fly at the stern. I could put our country flag on the starboard side the the burgee on the port? I see 24" mentioned but how high should they be or how long should the pole be? I originally wanted the Burgee on the bow pulpit but now...

    Flags

My wife wants a US flagged I want a burgee and we don't want to become a flag geeks. It's our boat and we want it to look a certain way and that's that. But I don't want to offend anyone and would rather go without if flag rules are a dividing subject. I tried to gain some knowledge from the...

    Electric Heater

Colby I just finished looking at your photos of the two Webasto installs and found them instructive and revealing. One: the instals were neat and clean and two I'll never be able to reach up in there. Time for me to invent a method to reach in. Getting a new knee on Wednesday and will have lots...
