    Moving Ashore

Bill and El, We have never met, never spoke but you two have influenced my wife and I in a positive way. We read about your adventures and truly enjoyed your insights and observations. You sent us a note congratulating us when we finally purchased our C-Dory. We were both impressed and honored...

    Twin Engines?

I’ve been trying to restrain myself but I just have to jump in the mighty murky twins Vs singles debate. :P I’ve read quite a few of the posts (not all million and one) on the subject before I purchased and could have gone either way depending on the conditon and price of the boat. That being...

2012 Delta/Bay Extravaganza and Catalina Offshore Adventure

Laurie and I are really looking forward to meeting some new friends and seeing other C-Dorys in action! I will be putting a check, CF# and boat name in the mail Monday. We have put quite a few hours trying to come up with a great boat name for our little 22 CD and after going around in circles...

How do you get the most out of a gallon of gas?

Sounds like the voice of experience... :wink Great advice. Like others say keeping it light is always a good idea when practical.

    Wallas Redux

Just out fishing last night with my wife, she never, never, would have been with me if we did not have heat. Yes, it does get cold on the SF Bay at night! We've used our boat a lot since we purchased last June - granted not much of a long term test. We figured out the battery needs to be tip/...

Hello All, Laurie and I are new owners of a 2006 cruiser and would love to join you all!. We just now saw that sign-ups (ok one) may be still available and we will gladly take a spot. Help hole in bilge, properly route throttle

Thanks to all for your input. My job has just been crazy busy lately and have not had time to do important stuff like play on this website and work on the boat. My bilge is near the cabin door, step over it to enter cabin. The bilge well is maybe 5-6 inches deep and is flush with the cockpit...

Help hole in bilge, properly route throttle

What are the cables covered / sheathed in? Also after the cables exit the bulkhead/ under the door are the cables simply routed across the cockpit floor (under fiberglass panel floor)? Mine currently are. Thanks SleepyC for the reply. :)

Help hole in bilge, properly route throttle

It appears a previous owner of my 2006 22' cruiser with Honda twin 50s thought that the reason for stiff throttles was improper cable routing. So... to "straighten out" the cables they were run through the cabin near door then holes were drilled near the bottom of the bilge to accomodate a...

Tow vehicle mileage, real world #s

We have a 2007 Ford F-150 2 wheel drive with the 4.6 V8. Towing our 22 cruiser on dual axle Pacific trailer on the freeway we get about 12-13 mpg. I tend to set cruise control for about 62 mph (yes, I know 55 is limit but would get run over by big rigs) on the flats. Mileage will get worse on...

    Charging problems twin Honda 50s

Hi Guys, my first real post is unfortunately a question for you electrical gurus who can speak(type) in laymen terms to my dumb self. New 2006 CD 22’ boat to me has some electrical glitches :? . First problem is that port and starboard (Honda 50s 2006) voltmeters read different. And I get low...

    antenna for stereo

You guys are awesome! Thanks for all of the input and I've great some great resources to check out. BTW I am not going to use one of the two VHF but rather use one of the flexible units routed inside/ hidden inside the upper cabin. John

    antenna for stereo

I was hoping someone could provide me with information regarding installation of an Am/ FM (CD, mp3 etc.) in my new, to me, CD 22. The boat is equipped with two VHF radios, separate power sources (port/starboard dedicated engine systems) and antennas. I really don't want to install another...

a little beauty for all you paddlers.

That was pretty darn cool... who would've thought someone is out there seriously practicing paddling to music! OK now you experieced CD owners have something to aspire to! I can see it now, the little C Dory spinning, and listing oh so gently to the strains of some mildly romantic popular...
