Somebody Needs to Be Buying NEW C-Dorys

What bothers me is the lack of links to articles about our boats. Ranger Tugs has a list of every article out there. There have been several lately but you will not see this on Triton's site. That info is valuable to new buyer's

Larger boat - full displacement hull, weigh in.

Since your right by the Delta, that gives you a huge cruising ground. In your price point you will be hard pressed to find something that is fairly new. Of course these days there are deals around, just have to hunt. I would do some searching at the numerous marinas down by Rio Vista. Take...

    Searching

Well if you want comfort, there is a TomCat available for about the price of a used 25, see right lower corner on the home page. Ok Charlie here is your opening. There is much info on this site about the quality, and no it is not questionable. Every boat no matter what the price point or name...

    C-Dory 25 vs C-Dory 22

Do a search on CD 25 weight, lots of info on the incorrect #'s from the factory site.

    First Purchase

2006 and 2007 it was the Reynolds company, you are correct the very end of 2006 they started making the transitions.

    First Purchase

The 2007 model had a few changes. 1 bilge pump, a raised cockpit floor molded liner in the cockpit. An all glass entry door. In the late 2007 models the interior changed from the Decraguard to fiberglass. I have an early 2007 model so Decraguard, which I actually prefer for mods. As for a...

    First Purchase

Congrats on the purchase. There are zincs for the motors different motors different zincs. The 22 has no scuppers. Depending on the years it may have only 1 bilge pump in the stern between the fuel tanks. other years had one just inside the cabin door and yes many owners added a 2nd pump.

    How about...a Marinaut 25?

I agree on a cruise ready 27. Definately a larger head with a sink, remember the women will definately have ideas. For the PNW Wesbasto heater, larger water capacity, as in the Cutwaters they have propane cooktop and small propane tanks in the cockpit. Microwave/convection oven combo, hanging...

I need help pricing my Uncles C-Dory for sale.

Sorry to hear about your uncles illness. The 27's were a small production numbered boat with not much info out there, I am sure the long time users to the site will be able to help, especially once you have some pics and more info.

    2011 Inside Passage Cruise

I agree with Bill on that 6' map. I really like using it because it starts in Washington and takes you all the way up into SE Alaska.

    2011 Inside Passage Cruise

We did the book store and bought a few things, hit the pizza place for lunch, and went into the store at the head of the pier and sent some salmon to a few people. It rained most of the day and the following morning we headed out into glassy seas for the run to Endicott. I must admit being on...

    2011 Inside Passage Cruise

Hi Bill We were up for a week in mid June, I guess we got spoiled as the water was dead flat with the exception of 1 day, sorry I guess we left the rough stuff for you. Our 1 day of rain was in Petersburg. Spent the day in town doing the tourist thing. I will admit that trip was in a...

Boat Equipment for the Inside Passage

I might suggest getting a 16' C-Dory to tow behind you to carry all the stuff.

    Can a V6 Tacoma pull a 22' Cruiser?

One thing we must remember is we are talking apples to oranges from the older Tacoma which only had a tow capacity of 3500# and was a much smaller truck. The newer Tacoma 2005 and beyond is the same body size as the older Tundra and has a 6500# tow capacity and is a much heavier vehicle. I would...

Stainless 3 Blade or 4 blade prop

Has anyone tried a 4 blade on the smaller motors, like my 40hp twins? Stern lift might be desirable with the heavier weighted twins than a singel, and No this is not a single vs twins question or comment.

    Can a V6 Tacoma pull a 22' Cruiser?

I never had a problem pulling the 22 out of a steep ramp with gravel or seaweed, just put it in 4H and away we went.

Ouch, good luck on the fix.

Most important things to glean from comments

My 07 Tacoma 4x4 V6 towed the 22 just fine. 15mpg from Roseville to Washington was my average, however it squated a bit more than I liked, so if I had decided to keep it was going to install the Firestone air bags to level it out. My 22 is a bit heavier as I have twin 40's, a 90 hp would be...

GO LOOK AT A MARINAUT BEING BUILT!!

I will be in Washington next week and will probably drop in at EQ and check out hull #1 if it is still in the shop.
