I have used lettering.com for years. It works well and the lettering is durable. The name on my boat is about 12 years old and still looks fine. You have to apply it yourself or hire someone to do the installation. Any decent sign shop should also be able to do lettering for you.

My boat has similar cracks in the same spot and I don't have Scotty mounts there. This seems to be a stress point between the open cockpit part of the boat and the cabin part (different flexibilities).

IMO, I would think that the inner and outer skins are held together quite well by the engine mounting bolts, swim step bolts, kicker mounting bolts, etc. There only really needs to be enough FG at the top (under the cap) to seal against water intrusion.

If you're replacing the cable system, you might want to consider switching to a hydraulic steering system.

Depends on whether you have a "smart" alternator or not. A dumb alternator is easy to detect from the bus voltage. A smart alternator has variable output depending on the load (this is to increase fuel economy). With a smart alternator, you have to "tell" the charger that it the engine is on.

You can make it yourself out of PVC pipe and electrical conduit. Use PVC that allows the conduit to fit inside for strength. Both are pretty easy to cut and join. You can probably find examples if you search this site.

I've had the solenoid for the backup device fail on my MagicTilt trailer. It was easier (IMO) to replace the whole actuator than try and swap out the solenoid.
