    Anyone we know?.....

I was wondering the same thing. I do know that the ocean was not kind on the day they were out. Lot's of windwaves at short intervals. The good news is that it sounds like they were well perpared for an emergency (epirb ect..). Seems rare these days. Glad all are ok.

How deeply discounted are trucks now?

You might check out edmunds.com you can price the vehicle with options and it will give you MSRP , Invoice, and most importantly what most people are paying for this vehicle, they call it "True Market Value". It's kind of helpful. Also, I would deal with the fleet manager (some are called the...

Very compact crab traps that still WORK

I believe that people have just adapted an anchor puller for use on crab pots. In my neck of the woods, an anchor puller system is pretty common on the rivers. The main thing you want to prevent is getting the rope in the prop while pulling anchor/ or pot. Here's a website with some photo's...

    Halibut run with the e-tec

Sounds good, except the slow fishing part. I wonder what's up with the halibut fishing this year? I've heard people blaming long liners ect but I'm not so sure of that.

    Tow vehicle Dilemma

I guess I should also say that my 10mpg while towing includes trips over the coast range (approx 2000 feet climb). I have not payed attention to the mpg while towing down the freeway because I don't often do that. I'm sure with no hills I would get much better.

    Tow vehicle Dilemma

I tow with a 2007 Ford Sporttrac. It has the v-8 engine and tows it just fine. Problem is I get 14 mpg in mixed driving and 10mpg while towing the boat. THe sporttrac with v-8 and towing package is rated to 6800 pounds I believe. Before this vehicle I had an 04' sportrac with a v-6 engine but...

Is a C-Dory warranty any good

I too had difficulty getting a call back or email repsonse from the factory. Not until I sent them a polite email telling them about my dissatisfaction with their service and that I could no longer recommend their boats to others. Then I got a response from Casey. She seemed responsive and...

    Need Advice

My kicker is mounted on a "mini jacker" bracket. The motor clears the trim tab just fine and it doesn't sit further back than the main. Maybe a new bracket? Otherwise there's a $2,000 fix called a Tr-1 Gold autopilot but that's probably not the answer you were wanting.

    Cooler Racks

Found this in Libery call's gallery. This sounds similar but not exactly what you describe. You can see more here: http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=LibertyCall&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php And obviously you not talking about this one either...

Moving - Anyone familiar with Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho

Pend Oreille is a beautiful lake. When I was a kid we boated there for a couple summers. If I remember correctly it's very deep (like 1000 feet) and we always believed the navy had a submarine test station there but again we were kids. Anyway, on one end of the lake there are some very steep...

    Trim Tabs

I always run with mine probably 1/4 to 1/2 way down. Not only is the ride smoother but the fuel economy is better.

    Trim Tabs

Trim tabs really help smooth the ride out by lowering the bow. Most people have bennett trim tabs. I honestly don't know the model number. You could always call a c-dory dealer and ask them what kind they install but chances are another brat will chime in with the answer. Here's a picture of mine.
