    cd 16 radar arch Help!

You might want to seek out a fabricator specializing in T-Tops. I have run into several at boat shows over the past few years.

    BBQ Safety

I would place the grill elsewhere. Have you thought about a Magma rail clamp? They work very well.

    Air Conditioning

Byrdman, Do you see anything in the AC unit specs about "Starting Amps" - the amps required initially when you switch the thing on (and each time the thermostat kicks the compressor on)? I think this will determine whether or not the Honda 2000 will work.

    TomCat 255 Magnetic Compass

It is always a conflict with electronics. You need the compass where you can see / use it but with today's stuff, there is always some kind of electronic interference close by. With the boat on the trailer or secured in a slip, I would place it in the best location for use with all of your...

How much Fuel Do You Have????

Mine varies slightly, but nothing like that. Is the gauge accurate when you are at idle? Does it show full when you gas up?

    Boat camping on the road...

Jim, The shower on my 2003 CD-25 drains to a sealed sump box located below the port side cabinet opposite the head/shower and is pumped overboard from there, also to the port side. Michael

    CD 25 weight?

That's true Gary, stopping is vital. I don't carry a camper on my truck and the surge brakes on my aluminum trailer do a really good job. Regardless, it is easier to stop a 7,000 pound load behind you with a 6,000 plus pound truck than a 3,500 pound one. And I havn't really checked, but I am...

    CD 25 weight?

I have probably towed the Clara Mae 10,000 miles or more. If you plan to do any long distance hauling, I would not cut the rating too close. I used a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V8 to tow the Clara Mae for the first year. It got the job done power wise but really did not have enough rear...

    CD 25 weight?

It has been a couple of years, but the Clara Mae weighed in right at 7,000 pounds on her aluminum trailer fully loaded with fuel, water, and supplies. She has a single Honda 130 four stroke. I may have scraped off a few pounds on an oyster bed or two since then. :smiled

Why did you buy your C-Dory?

It's all about the draft for me. I looked for years before coming across the C-Dory. There are plenty of nice arrangements out there but none with a full galley, head, etc. that draws only 12 inches. The fact that she will still take a stiff chop is just icing on the cake.

    Cabin lighting

The Dot It LED lights are no match for fluorescents, but work good for iluminating a small area. I have one stuck to the bottom of the shelf over the helm. It gives me plenty of light at night when I need it without blinding me to the outside. Also, they say the Dot It lights will stick to...

    Cabin lighting

If your existing lighting is not enough, check these Sylvania Dot It lights out. I have a couple of them on the Clara Mae.

    Flybridge

I have thought seriously about adding a fly-bridge on the Clara Mae, but gave it up mainly because of the bridges I routinely go under. I think it would be a great addition though, especially on a TC-25.

How a trip to Florida leads to a Cruise on the Intercoastal

Fred, I have run the southeast and gulf coast ICW's several times. I think the key is time. I spent 23 days on a round trip from Charleston, SC to Tampa Bay and for me the time was much too short. There are just too many great spots to stay and enjoy. And if you fish, you may never leave...

    Air Conditioning ... again

Do you think this roof unit will hold up to the salt water environment for very long? Also 90 plus pounds on the thin part of the CD roof may become a problem if you are pounding through heavy seas.

    Non-working bi-color navigation light

Well I know she is new, but I say it is time to educate the Sue'C and rip into those wires :smiled . Cut those puppies, do a good job at splicing a couple of pieces in and change the bulb. Even if it is not the bulb, you will have to change it sometime in the future anyway. Just some advice...
