    Wallas fuel supply line

Gordon, Are you having problems? The fittings on the fuel line are pressed on, so, unless you have replacements and the proper tool, I would not mess with it. Michael

    Windlass Wear and Tear

I should receive the plastic gypsy today so I am going to give it a shot. Thanks for the info on the metal replacement. It will be my next route when I do this again (hopefully not for a few years). Tying off the anchor line is not that easy on the CD-25 since the only bow cleat is right...

    Windlass Wear and Tear

I recently purchased my third anchor line in less two years. The first two had worn so that my Simpson Lawrence Horizon 400 would not pick them up. Unfortunately, it will not pick up the new line I just purchased either. After a closer look, it appears the plastic Rope/Chain Gypsy is worn...

    CAPACITY - PASSENGERS

The US Power Squadron suggests boat length times boat width divided by 15 for the number of people at an avg of 150 lbs each. For a 22, that would be 11 folks... I think you are in good shape.

    SSi Coolers

I am not sure what an ssi cooler is. I have a 5 day ice box that works well if you ice it down right.

    fridge users please help

At Three Rivers Marine, standard installation on a CD25 includes two batteries dedicated solely to the factory fridge. There are two more on board on a switch for house/cranking (I have a single BF130). My fridge has run with no problem for as long as 4 days without recharging or plugging in...

George and Penny, It just so happens my oldest daughter and I may be down your way during the week of March the 7th. We will be hauling our CD-25 down from Charleston, SC and plan to be there for the week. I am currently looking into where to put in, etc. If our trip works out, you are...

    EPIRBS and PLB's

I have an EPIRB on the Clara Mae. I installed it for my trip with my youngest daughter last August which included a couple of extended open water runs. My opinion is that if you are going to spend any time off shore, an EPIRB should be standard equipment in spite of their cost. Most folks...

    New kid on the block

Tightline, Welcome. I am not much into fishing but have been well out into the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico in the Clara Mae (25 ft) with good results. Last September my youngest daughter and I made a trip by water from Charleston Harbor to Tampa bay. All tolled we covered 1,622 Nautical...

    Bottom Paint

Well without getting into to much of the whys and wherefores, the Clara Mae is going to get her bottom painted next week. With the neighbors that think she is too big (they actually petitioned against OCRM permit although I have been told we can get approval if we want it), too little water at...

    Shrimp'in

Well I did catch a few last weekend, but I just imagine those cold water deep suckers you guys have make our biggins look pretty small.

    Cabin privacy curtains

I don't know how economical they are, but my CD25 came with snap-on curtins made from sail material. They provide privacy while still letting the light in and the material is just about indestructible.

    Welcome Box

Well I've got to tell you one thing I love. That is the Welcome Box on the upper right hand side of the Home page and the little "View posts since last visit (#)" link that is in there. If you haven't already, try it. That little guy really works well... what a time saver!

    Auto Pilot for 25" Crusier

We have a ST5000 on the Clara Mae and love it. I recently made a 1,800 plus mile trip from Charleston Harbor to Tampa Bay. The ST5000 was invaluable!

    Dinghy Dilema -- Help!

I have a Bombard AX2 (7'-11") I carry on the roof of the Clara Mae at times (http://www.1stdirectproducts.com/ax2.html). Its best feature is the weight... 28 lbs. It is a roll up which allows me to carry it on the bow at times as well. It is not real big, but with a Honda BF2 it is stable...
