    Potty Talk

There was someone who put an enclosed head compartment on his CD22. Had to reconfigure the cabin interior a lot though. Guess it depends on your personal priorities.

    RI Family of 4 (kids ages 4 & 2) WTB 22 or 25 Cruiser

Do you have the means to tow a 25? It needs a more capable tow vehicle than a 22. At one time, I considered moving up to a 25. However, I realized that I'd also would have to get a different truck. That made the 25 more trouble than it was worth (to me, at the time).

Hopefully they'll have some interest in this site.

    Anyone have a 3D scan or 3D model of a 22 or 25?

There are free programs that allow you to create 3D models from a series of images. I was going to try it once, but I needed to figure out how to do it without the trailer.

    Upper Tennessee River, October 2024

I load and unload my boat single handed. Not a problem as long as there is a dock nearby (to secure the boat while going back to move the rig off the ramp).

C-Brat Burgee and Patches - Ordering Information

Depends on what it's like. I already have one of the ones shown in the pictures. If the proposed ones are of different construction I might be interested.

Cruiser 22 with some interior paint peeling

Looks to me like the picture shows peeling on the floor, not on the hull side where the rub rail is.

Cruiser 22 with some interior paint peeling

Peeling like this can be indicative of water (or some other liquid) getting under the paint surface. Some boats have/had a problem with water from the cockpit entering the cabin by coming under the aft cabin bulkhead.

C-Brat Burgee and Patches - Ordering Information

What would these burgees look like? The one I have is mostly an embroidered patch sewn both sides of a nylon pennant.

What is the most efficient cruising speed?

On my CD22 the MPG curve is pretty flat once it gets fully on plane. I use 3 MPG for planning purposes. This is sufficiently below the actual MPG that a decent reserve is built in. Yes, above 30 MPH, the CD22s get squirrelly. I've had mine up to about 35 on very flat water, but the handling...

Adding to the "Wet Core" Tally

For my own edification, can someone describe how moisture meters for boats work? I am curious how they detect moisture on the other side of solid gelcoated FG.

Adding MFD integrated engine instruments to carbed Honda 90?

Mid HP Honda engines did not support NMEA 2000 networks until 2017. Some information is displayed on the Honda digital gauges if you have them. Otherwise you need external sensors. I have a fuel plow sensor on my engine feed line that is connected to a NMEA indicator that gives fuel flow, fuel...

    12v Water Pump

I would consider putting in an electric pump with a momentary contact foot switch in place of the manual foot pump.

    12v Water Pump

I'm looking to do this on my boat. Plenty of examples and descriptions if you look at van conversion sites and Youtube videos.

    Webasto / Espar knockoffs

I'm in the process of installing a HLN 4KW diesel heater in my garage. These get good reviews and comes with good features. If it works out well, I'll consider a 2KW version for my CD22.

    Boat Name Lettering

I have used Lettering.com for the names and numbers on my boat. Very easy to do, and inexpensive. If I was unsure of the colors, I'd just make a simple sample text and order it in each color to check. A sample that says "TEST" in block letters about 2x7" is around $6. I'm guessing that...
