HELP!--24' Tomcat stolen and recovered. Need photos.

Sorry to hear, yet it seems you've handled it well. If it's of an any help - for reference - there is a Tomcat parked in a boat lot on hwy 522 just northeast of the 405 interchange.

    16 Cruiser Prop

Holy Cow (30mph!) I get about 24-26 tops in my 16' cruiser with a Honda 40. I don't know my prop specs. I do get excellent mileage.

    16 Cruiser Prop

Just FYI: Props can also be repaired. OR, You could still get a new one in addition to this one being repaired, and then use it as a spare.

    SOLD - 2003 C-Dory 19 Angler For Sale $22K

Hi, I'm curious about the space in the v-berth underneath the sleeping platform: (A) In the middle by the doorway to the cockpit I assume there's a porta-potty? (B) Other than that, is the space under the sleeping platform accessible for storage? (C) If so, is it a secure space that can be...

    Bilge Pump for 16'

Anyone know where I find a bilge pump for my 16' Cruiser? Don't know why it doesn't have one. Shouldn't they all have one?

    Bilge Pump for 16'

My 16' Cruiser didn't come with a bilge pump. What is a quick easy recommendation? I trailer it 90% of the time. But if it's ever moored at a marina overnight and it rains... AM I IN TROUBLE!? Also - can they be mounted without screwing into the floor? (4200?)

Different cabin configurations from factory? / 22 Anglers

Did the factory make each model of boat all the same, or did they vary? For example, I've seen pics of a 22' Angler that had a little table on the passenger side (I think it folded out or something like my 16' Cruiser has) and a bench seat. Then behind the drivers seat was a stove/heater. Then...

    "Pro-Angler" & "Venture" hulls vs...

For the people who have experienced the Pro-Angler C-dory's, how do they compare the the flat hull C-dorys? I'm mostly asking about the Pro-Angler. But wondering if the "Venture" C-dory hulls are similar enough to the pro-angler to says they perform about the same? (Since there are probably...

    Ocean going (Tuna) advice

Thank you everyone for your great advice! I've come to the conclusion that I won't be doing Tuna, at least not on my own. My question has evolved to two more questions: (a) How much difference do C-dory "Venture" (and pro-angler - see photo in previous message) hulls make over flat ones? (b)...

    Ocean going (Tuna) advice

Gotcha - so then do the hulls of the "ventures" and "Pro-Angler" model (shallow V, not Deep) buy you much when it comes to cutting through heavy seas at speed? Or are they just not anywhere close to the deeper V boats?

    Craigslist: 1996 C-Dory 22 - $18,000

Damn, wish I'd seen it in time. Was it an Angler or Cruiser? Would love to see the ad. Did anyone grab a copy of it?

    Ocean going (Tuna) advice

I've been boating for a long time, but in small boats (~16'). I'm planning to move up to a 22'. I'm interested in going out the in the ocean, but have no experience other than being on a Westport Salmon charter. I'm interested in going out for Tuna which is 50-100 miles out! Can a 22' do that...

    Hardtop (CD's) vs. Soft-top boats

Thanks for all the replies, it is helpful to read the experiences of fellow Brats! The funny dilemma I have is that I love being out in the open cockpit space, and I also love the cabin (especially the C-dory cabin). Like someone once said, every boat is a compromise.. Maybe a 22' Angler would...

    Hardtop (CD's) vs. Soft-top boats

I'm curious about the pro's and con's of hard vs convertible tops. My only experience on bigger water is with a hard top (C-dory!). But when I'm out in my little 14' river Dory (driftboat) I also enjoy being completely out in the open air! (Until it gets too cold or windy or rainy of course)...

What exactly is a "Day Boat"

Thanks for all these great responses! I have spent two weeks per summer living and cruising in my 16' Cruiser. It's been great, but then again I am a "solo backpacker" type. This leads me to another questions, about hardtop boats vs. soft-tops.. I'll make a new thread for that!
