Jabsco 18590 series macerator sewage pump issues

Two Jabsco pumps one after the other have been nothing but problems, finally did the same than Boris and got the Shurflo 3200. perfect replacement fit and no issues whatsoever for the last 2 years or so! The hair? Someone probably cleaned a hairbrush over the toilet..

    CD-25 Steering

"Try disconnecting the steering cylinder from the motor. Swing motor lock to lock by hand. if stiff there is your issue." ... I would agree with that being the first thing to check with motor trimmed all the way down if that is where you are mostly noticing the problem. IF too stiff, there are...

    same here

A tad over 5000 rpm? That's what I get with my yamaha F150 and the original alu. 15x151/4 prop but that is fully (over) loaded for extended cruise. I should really switch to a 13 pitch but the one I have as a spare make this annoying rattle at low rpms, drives me crazy.

    Leaking RIB

I also had to do a lot of work on my old Avon including re-gluing the rub strip in its entirety and many small repairs on the tubes and stern board taping plus one pinhole in the HP floor. Surprisingly I found that a product made for teak deck caulking bonded very strongly with the hypalon (and...

    Anyone using an auto pilot?

It might be considered one of "the cheaper units" but my experience with the EV 150 over the last couple of years has been great.

    Anyone using an auto pilot?

Gulf Coast John, 35 mph? hardly, more like 15kts/hr for 7 hrs. Fuel economy a must.

We just crossed over from Sonora, Mex. to Baja, I can't think of doing it without an autopilot. Feasible but painful.
