How to Heat a 22 Angler?

Maybe - depends on how warm you like to be and how cold it is outside. It really does. I suspect down your way it could be great.

    Prince William Sound 2022

PWS is generally just a waste of time in my opinion. I'd plan my trips somewhere else...like....anywhere.....lol.....Honestly, I'm a bit surprised most of it isn't a National Park as there are not a many places anywhere like it on this planet.

Question about hull layup on 1988 Cruiser

It isn't solid fiberglass I do know that. What is it's core? It's either marine ply or end grain balsa.

Repowering 22 Cruiser w/ new twin Hondas

It's way cheaper to go to a single is mostly why they are doing it. I'm in similar situation....but just can't bring myself to take perfectly running engines off the back of the boat to put different perfectly running engines onto the back of the boat. I think you will enjoy fuel injection...

Outboard motor up or down for winter storage?

I might fog and I might not. It is going to depend on how long you store your boat. I don't ever fog any of mine, but they are rarely unused for longer than 2-3 months and live a nice life in a heated shop that doesn't change temperatures. I would if stored out of a climate controlled setting...

    Brakes versus Salt Water

A rinse down with fresh water will probably do wonders. But so will using your trailer....I wouldn't be shocked your calipers get stuck from just sitting and it happens all the time to all kinds of stuff....RVs, boat trailers, cars.....you name it. Sitting is bad.

    Trailer light problem

Yup got them backwards. I'm sorry - I should have looked it up....It has to be something simple....bad connection or terminal....no ground....something like it. It might even be bad bulbs. I always check the cheap and easy stuff first.

    Trailer light problem

Your pin #4 (top right) is absolutely for the tail lights. In all my experiences with trailers, the first thing I always check is that there is a good ground. I've chased stuff for hours to only find the trailer had an iffy ground. The stuff you say is blank probably isn't....going from memory...

    Drain Plug

Sometimes all they need is a little petroleum jelly. Sounds really dumb....but it often works.

    Hybrid trailer

Anything is possible I guess. 5-7 feet is a lot.

    Lower unit issue

Weird. It is possible that some debris was keeping the lower unit from engaging. The threaded rod that shifts the lower unit into gear must be able to move freely. As far as the spun prop suggestions, it's a good one, but spun props (and I've had a couple on different boats) will provide some...

    Exhaust Port

They do fit inside one another very nicely. It was tempting to do it that way and run some high temperature ducting tape with some high temperature sealants to keep it from leaking. It's not really the "right" way, but that is basically what the HVAC guys did with your furnace and hot water...

    Exhaust Port

They are different sizes - sadly. About all you can use is the hole in side of the boat somebody made for the wallas exhaust.

    New high (low?) for C-Dorys?

If we are going to be fair, stuff has just really gone up - our toys have too. Sellers want 18K for a 15 year old SUV with 200k on the odometer. Don't even look at how much they want for a new suburban or expedition. Houses? Ha! You know as well I as do they have increased dramatically. And...

    2002 Honda 40 (twins)

Bob's not wrong - there is a population of people that can wreck even the best engineered and built equipment out there. But for the most part, the mid sized Honda motors are as good as they come.

    Loading on Trailer

I know you can do it that way, because I have had to in the past, but I prefer to just let it float off and on even with a roller trailer like mine. It's just easier on the gelcoat finish, and well-positioned side bunks help in making it only take a moment or 2 more. I understand it's probably...

Age old fuel consumption question - with a twist

I can speak from a ton of hours....but only with my 22 and twin Honda engines. At 4500 rpms and 20 mph, they consistently get 4.5-5 mpg. Go 24-25 MPH and about 5k rpms I will get very close to 4 mpg. Go 30-32 mph, which is basically full throttle at 6k rpms, I will get around 3 mpg. So...in my...

    2002 Honda 40 (twins)

Are you thinking about buying a boat with 1400 hours? I have about double that on my 45s and they still are dependable, have good power, and will probably go another 20 years if they don't corrode away. As far as the lower units, it was posted that draining the oil is telling. Look for the...

    Overheating Outboard on Flushing Muffs

Full disclosure....for the last couple 3-4 years I have been using CRC Salt Terminator because it is available at Amazon for about 40 bucks per gallon. Salt Away is double the price (or more) for some reason. It's sort of different...flows better....and Salt Away puts on a better suds show, but...

    Overheating Outboard on Flushing Muffs

Great idea - the 50s will fit in a 35 gallon round garbage can as well. I do that a couple times of year just to flush out the salt. At the end of the season, I add salt away for good measure. And if you don't feel like just idling them, because very little water flows through them at...
