C-Dory makes the front page of the Seattle Times!

Deja'vu  Another federally funded exercise in futility. Slugs would be more effective. Jack :smiled

    C16 Cruiser Height

If things are really close, you can always use the trick I used with my old travel trailer. 8) Buy a set of rims from an auto wrecker and put them on in place of the trlr. wheels when you are storing the boat. Using rims without the tires will gain you 4 - 6" of clearance. :wink Jack :smiled

    16 footer get together

Sounds like fun, but it's a long way from home and that's my haul-out weekend, I'll be scraping various critters off of the other bottom. :sad Jack :smiled

Full boat cover for CD 16

Why not just a "Slant-Back" Cover with windows. Keeps the cockpit clean and dry. Also, you can see out, if you have to run with it up. :wink Jack :smiled

    Here goes!

Yeah, it kind of bothers me that some of the clearest pictures I have seen of my area came from Russian, or French satellites. :smileo Jack :smiled

    Here goes!

Isn't Google Earth Great! :thup I use it all of the time to reserch cruising areas in Canada and I can see my boat at the dock. It's too bad the photos are so far out of date (6-8 yrs.). Jack :smiled

    Yikes!

There has got to be an electrical engineer out there who will jump on me for this explanation, but IMHO the over heating in a tightly coiled A.C. line is caused by histeresis, :smilep that is why transformers and coils get hot and will melt down if there is an excessive current draw...

    Vessel Capacity Label

Ah, yes Roger, :wink How would we make it without our blenders and the trusty Honda. 8) Oh yeah, don't forget the MicroWave (coffee warmer). Kind of makes the old Honda grunt a little. Oops! almost forgot the electric blankets. :smileo Boating has sure changed since I almost set the boat and...

    Vessel Capacity Label

I think DaveS hit it on the head  The only time I've been stopped and boarded, I had my teenaged daughter and a girlfriend on the bow in their Bikinis. :smileo Jack :smiled

    16' Angler tips/tricks welcome

15" Rubber Snubbers like truckers use to hold canvas on loads. :thup Those and some of those "screw down SS loops" like battery hold downs. Install along the sides under the gunnels and in the cabin, these can be used to hold gear in place, without creating places that collect junk.

    How about a "toy" C-Dory?

Yea Tim, I was kind of thinking along those lines....What a challenge it would be to try and hide a motor in the "Cubby" of a model 16' about 14" long. Run the drive line through the deck so it came out just below the transom. The batteries and rudder escapement could go under the motor...

    How about a "toy" C-Dory?

Now there's an idea for these long winter nights. I wonder how the technology in miniature electric outboards has progressed. Back in my model building days they were pretty clunky and very heavy. :wink :smiled Jack

    Motorcycles I've known

1952 NSU 500cc Single, Sidecar machine, Battery/Gen. Ignition. Would jump time, kick the heel off of your boot, try to throw you over the handle bars and make your foot hurt so badly you wanted to cry. :( When I finally took it to the salvage yard before I rotated, I wanted to put a bullet in...

seating in a 16 ft angler

We just carry an 80qt. ice chest with a cushion on the top. That way you can move it around to balance the load. :smiled Jack

    My new 16

Sure needs a bow rail.. Some say no, but try standing on the bow when you're not tied to a dock. Gets kind of spooky. :wink Rail Makers N/W a couple of blocks west of Denney's in Everett, near the freeway has the patterns. :thup

    My new 16

You're looking good Sark, How high is your garage door? I'd like to put my 16 inside, but it looks like I'd have to take the wheels off of the trailer. :? :smiled Jack

    Mukilteo launch ramps

Mukilteo Launch Ramp is really fun when the trailer goes off of the end of the ramp. The current has usually washed about a 3 ft. drop off at the end of the cement :amgry Everett is a hands down winner. :thup
