The Recent C-Dory Photo Activity block on the home page is what was broken and should now be fixed.

Good eye, Big Dave. That was missed in the transition. It's done via a scheduled job that runs nightly and that was overlooked. I just ran it manually to get it up to date, as well as scheduling it to run nightly. It should start functioning as it did before.

Not in the market - but IF I were...

Zing! We too, started down the tank route - but not quite as big. Much as I liked the Nordic 26, it too was just too dang big and complicated. The more I age the more I see the value of reasonable minimalism...even though I suck at the actual implementation. I envy it in others who have pulled...

    We're back

Fortunately, hosting expenses continue to drop while performance increases. It's actually a blessing in disguise the old dedicated server gave up the ghost. We're around $50/month now, almost half the price of the old server. We really don't mind the expense, it's minimal - but thanks to all...

    We're back

Quite likley, I noticed that as well. The old site was on ~15 year old physical hardware. New one is hosted at Vultr, a state of the art virtual hosting provider with significantly more resources and the ability to add resources on demand if needed. Seems like a nice upgrade so far.

    We're back

I've had several reports of system mails not going out. Could be notifications of watched topics, registration/password confirmation emails, etc. I'm aware, trying to figure it out.

    We're back

I hope. Sorry for the 2-ish days of down time. Our 20+ year old server finally bit the dust. I knew this day would come, and the good news is - I'd worked on options quite a while back. However, life gets in the way and that long overdue project just kept getting shoved to the back burner...

C-Brat Burgee and Patches - Ordering Information

Sorry for the late reply, everyone. Burgees have all been sold. I do have some of the large patches remaining (small ones as well), mentioned in the first post of this thread. Potentially, somebody with the skills could make up a reasonable copy utilizing the patches. If there's significant...

    Battleborns and ?

Will Prowse does have great knowledge, and his videos are certainly informative and valuable. However, I've found his reviews don't take into account critical factors when it comes to battery manufacturers. QC and customer support. He concentrates mostly on the tech. He's typically looking at a...

What's Seattle really like these days?

For the Seattle area itself, I'll leave suggestions to those who have more local knowledge on the crazy side of the water. Were it me - I'd not want to live anywhere over there. It's nothing like it used to be, IMHO. What once was an incredible gem of the PNW has suffered tremendously from...

When Did the Photo Albums Get "Pruned"?

It's especially good when somebody gets new employment.

    North Seattle Marine Surveyors

It's been several years since we used him on our Nordic 26 purchase, but Matt Harris came highly recommended by both buyers and sellers when we were looking. Incredibly thorough, great communication and reasonably priced. https://marineconsultantsinc.com/

I'm so sorry, Larry. I've such fond memories of you two in the early C-Brat days. Take good care. Will

    No More Politics

It's not a content issue. It's a civility issue, and to a lesser extent - who cleans up after. I'm trying to remember the last time I had to break up a religious fight around here. Oh yeah, I remember....never. Maybe we could just keep it that way.

    Honda eu2000 - two tips

Yes - but one has to open things up to get to it, as well as having somewhere to drain the fuel. Not always a problem, but arguably a little cleaner/quicker to run things dry. Also, if it works similar to other engines - I've not tested it - draining the float bowl doesn't get all the fuel out...

    Honda eu2000 - two tips

C-Brats - two quick videos for those of you with Honda eu2000's. These are great tips, both fuel related. Mine started in with the dreaded surging/rough idle/hard starting last year, and based on some articles and videos I read online I ordered up a plethora of parts with the intent of going...

    Wire and Cable labeler?

I choose simple. Good white electrical tape (3M or similar) and a permanent, fine line black marker. You can either wrap it around the cable onto itself, leaving a small tag to label - or if you want a very clean look, wrap it around the cable lengthwise. And, it's far easier to label the tape...

    Marinaut Update

I just swapped emails with Ricardo the other day. Covid put a pretty big damper on things for him, but they have one out of the mold and are trying to get going again. He's purposely laying low until they're in production - doesn't want to say much or promise anything until they're ready...

    Canadian Border To Remain Closed

Our C-Brat family will never agree politically. That's OK. Primarily because, we can all agree on something far more important. Y'all know singles are better.
