Steering is very stiff left and ok to right. Autopilot stall

The tab is pointing to port. This would pull the back of the motor to port, thus steering the boat to port...correct? It is very stiff to steer to port, and easier to steer to the starboard at curise 20-25mph. At hull speed, its easy to steer either direction. I every outbord I've had steers...

Steering is very stiff left and ok to right. Autopilot stall

Actually its pointed to port. This should make it steer to port right? It's not much to port, just a little. I think I'll try more. I topped offthe helm with fluid but not much. Greased all fittings. I could not get the single bolt off of the steering arm. It threads in from underneath and...

    Salt Water in PortaPotti Flush

Most of my boats (sail) were raw water flush. Amazing how long fresh water can last when using sea water to flush. I'm in the process of doing the conversion right now. I'm tying into the raw water pickup and pump already installed with strainer, through hull, and ball valve for my wash down...

Steering is very stiff left and ok to right. Autopilot stall

Thanks all. On the note about the trim tab. Mine is pointing to starboard as viewed from behind the motor.

Steering is very stiff left and ok to right. Autopilot stall

I have a Venture 26 with Garmin autopilot and GPH 10 pump. I was using it for the first time this weekend. My autopilot often says hydraulic pump stall. I noticed the boat is hard to steer left/port and right is much easier. It been this way in my past boat with hydraulic steering and...

How much pressure in the tank?

What do you recommend? Take the vent line off the fuel filler and run it to the barb in the side of the boat in the battery box? How does the vent under the filler cap actually vent? Maybe at a certain pressure, it somehow opens. It does hold ALOT of pressure though. If I pull it off the...

How much pressure in the tank?

I think I have that valve in my fuel cap. The tank vent line goes under the rail and attaches next to the filler hose and inside the filler neck is what looks like a hole to vent under the cap. Other info: I have a owner's manual for a E-Valve Model ICM-115P Evaporative emission control for...

    How to get real MPG?

Has all that equipment already. But seems too good. I want to double check.

    How to get real MPG?

Yes, I know how to do it. Easy. But what is the best way in a boat? I assume fill up at a dock so that the boat is "Level". Run at my desired cruise for say 50 miles. Far enough to use a measurable amount of fuel. Doesn't do much to go use 1/2 gallon and then the variation in filling up...

1st use of composting toilet. Not sure I'll keep it.

Yes I'll be tapping into the raw water system since it's already has a through hole and a screen and a pump for salt water. I'll simply tee into the line and run it into the bathroom as opposed to fresh water. I've had several Marine saltwater toilets.

Picture of C25 or V26 factory holding tank head and plumbing

The PO pulled the factory toilet/holding tank/macerator system out to put in a urine spearating toilet and bucket. I'm going back to the factory toilet. I have the head in the garage from the PO, but not sure where everyting goes. I'll have to buy a macerator and water hoses, vent lines, etc...

1st use of composting toilet. Not sure I'll keep it.

Found the label today: Separett AB Model 7010. Its just a pee separating toilet. Poop in a bucket, pee overboard. Not a composing one. The PO had been putting coconut in it I guess. Not sure how he stired it though. I'm going back to the factory holding tank head. 9 gallon, with macerator...

1st use of composting toilet. Not sure I'll keep it.

My 2018 venture came with a composting toilet. The PO took out the factory flush one with holding tank and macerator discharge. They have been happy with the composing one, so I'd give it a try. I had about 3 inches of nice dry coconut bark or whatever that stuff is in the bottom of the bucket...

How much pressure in the tank?

In my 2018 Venture, when I unscrew the fuel cap, it is under a lot of pressure. I went last week to fill for the 1st time since purchase. The tank was 100% empty since I had to drain it to pull the tank and fix trim tab motor. Anyways... When I put the nozzle in the tank, it within seconds...

No way to turn power to motor off but not house?

Just thinking aloud. On my Venture 26, there is only one battery selector knob, on/off/combine. So, looking at the wiring on Blue Sea systems switch 5511e, when on, both the start battery to motor is connected and at the same time, the house is connected to the house battery. So, if you are on...

isolated vs. non isolated DC to DC charger

Factory says non-isolated. Both batteries are connected by a common ground.
