    VF90A 4 STROKE.

Sometimes it is cheaper to just take it to the shop and have them plug it in to identify the problem. Might have saved you buying new filters and plugs. I suspect it is some electronic sensor that is giving the motor signal to shut down. How long is the initial break in oil supposed to be...

    Fwd deck seat

Would this be use while at anchor or underway? From my personal experience with the 25' i'm not inclined to allow anybody on the bow while underway as it creates a possible safety hazard. There are too many unexpected instances which require immediate response from the pilot possibly throwing...

Another Wallas thread - with Canadian content

We've had the Sea Witch since May of 2021 and have used the Wallace stove a fair amount mostly as a heater during the shoulder seasons. When I brought the boat home I went through every system on the boat and tested the operations of each. When it came to the Wallace stove I replaced the fuel...

Big 'ole cooler to double as bench seat?

Hunter, I don't have a 22 but have had a 65qt RTIC cooler that was a knock off of the YETI. You could jump up and down on it, a beast for sure. Good if you keep them full and aren't getting in and out of them often. You should easily be able to find them online. Good luck.

Molded insert replacements for cockpit of 25"

Thanks Jody, that looks very similar to mine. I've got the faceplate but not the bottom plate or the dividers.

Molded insert replacements for cockpit of 25"

Thanks Patrick, I saw that one and it looks pretty close. The netting on that could be changed to put in the hard front retainer wall from the original inserts. I'll have to check the measurements for opening on the existing set up. That is where I store my 15lb downrigger weights when not in...

Molded insert replacements for cockpit of 25"

Thanks for the replies everyone. Steve I am unable to post a picture of the insert at this time, but the picture in Colby's post is as near as I can remember identical. I'm not sure of the measurements at this time either. Colby, I will check with NMI and hopefully come up with a solution...

Molded insert replacements for cockpit of 25"

I have a 2007 25' and have decided that I would like to replace the cockpit bulkhead plastic molded inserts that are use for rod holders, deck brush etc. Does anyone know where I can order these from?

    22 Cruiser Enclosure Advice

I would definitely go talk to another fabricator. The folks that make canvas enclosures are proficient at bending tubing tubing to various hull configurations. The bending dies are fairly standard so anyone with a background in tubing bending should be able to match what you have. If you...

    C-Dory 22 Cruiser Interior Rebuild

Congratulations on you getting a 22. I guess my question would be how did the cabinets bottoms get rotted? It may not be a big deal but I believe I would check the deck for signs of rotting also. Hopefully it is isolated to the cabinets only. No matter there is plenty of resources within...

    Rhea 800

I'm not so sure this boat is at all in the same class as a CDory. A beautiful boat for sure. As far as trailerability, I'm going to give it a failing mark. After having owned an Atlas Acadia 25 with a full keel, I assure you that this boat will have to be on a pretty tall bunked trailer to...

Cdory 22 and 25; issues to look for when buying

Wallin, the 25' that was on the 20th I believe is in Santa Rosa, Ca. Looks like a good one from the description given. I also have a 25' 2007 vintage. Just a little advise on trying to land a 25. They tend to go fast when listed. Have cash ready, get the boat tied up for with survey or...

    Ideal wiper setup

I have the same set up as C-Wolfe on my 25', it has the panographic wiper arms and allows for a complete wipe of the windows. I also like his fan set up and may come up with a modified version of that with a couple of small box fans. Good luck.

Best time to list a C-Dory 25 for sale?

When I was shopping for my 25 I was on the computer constantly for months looking for the right fit for us. It is my opinion for what it's worth that any serious buyer is out there looking now and pretty much all the time. The boats are valued according to what they contain and I personally...

Automatic bilge pump operation on my Cat?

Red, it sounds as though your pumps are wired to run off of 1 float switch. On any boat I have ever owned over the years the bilge pumps were wired to run independently and have their own float switch. I would trace out all the wiring to the bilge pumps and see if they are wired to 1 float...

    Water in port sponson

Have you checked your salt water washdown system? I would check from the through hull ball valve to the outlet and make sure that there isn't any disconnect along the way. Just a thought.

Winterizing question / in salt water

I like the idea of putting plastic bags over the lower units to keep the sea growth off while they sit in the water protected from possible freezing. That however doesn't help the rest of the hull in the water. I personally put mine on a trailer for the winter. I don't like leaving the boat...

Honda BF 150 Valve Clearance check.

Thanks for your input on checking my valve clearances. Youve raised some more questions regarding timing belt replacement. Looking at my repair manual i figured out that i don't have a timing belt but a timing chain is used on the 135 and 150 outboards. I think I'll just have the honda...

Honda BF 150 Valve Clearance check.

Good morning C-Brats, I have a question concerning the Honda BF150 motor maintenance. I am doing my annual winterization of basic oil change, rv antifreeze in the fresh water lines, changed lower unit lube, replaced water pump impeller (3 Years use). I also changed out the thermostats and...

Bosch Tronic 3000T ES2.5 Electric Water Heater

Looking at the anode I would say it isn't horrible. Yes there is some expected corrosion of the anode which means it is doing it's job. The anode looks to me to be able to be replaced individually. I would research it further and see if you can just buy the anode alone without the heating...
