    LED's Revisited

I ordered a 63 LED bulb replacement bulb on E-bay last night. This is a direct change out for for the 1004 bulb in my dome lights. It's only 3.8Watts compared to 12 Watts for the standard bulb...

    LED's Revisited

Ok, I was looking thru my own album and found one of my lights and see the rubber ring you were speaking of. My boat has these strange bases that you see in the photo made of starboard that the factory also used for mounting the bolt for the handrail on the roof. Do the Dr. Led Domes mount...

    LED's Revisited

Thanks for the comments. I really like the idea of LED also. I have a friend in Sterling who built a boat and installed nothing but LED lights and they work great. I think my current perko installation may be different than yours, I'm not sure what you're speaking of when you talk about a...

    LED's Revisited

Joe, maybe I'm lazy, but I didn't want to redo lighting fixtures throughout the entire boat, I was just hoping to change out some bulbs. I noticed Bob on Thataway said he was changing over to LED too. Obviously I haven't backtracked yet to search the flourescent threads. I guess I thought I...

    LED's Revisited

Boris, Well I figure someone out there may have already guinea pigged there self on this one. My biggest concern is that all the light is directed out the point of the bulb. The way the GE 1004 bulb is mounted in my Perko unit it would be better if the light were directed from the side of the...

    LED's Revisited

Hi guys, I've discussed this previously but I think new technology comes along and hopefully there is something that works now. We do multiple day trips out in our boat away from marinas. One of our BIG power draws during the night are the dome lights. I have the perko dome lights with the...

    Trailer Bunk Carpet

Bob, Now I see what you mean by the slicks are for launch and recovery. I don't have a good side photo of my boat for an easy comparison of the sponson shape, but it would be interesting if it were the same mold. I checked out your trailer, totally different approach than mine. I probably do...

    Tom Cat Scuppers & Macerator

I am also a fan of this solution and after installing the "Barrel O Monkeys" drain system had a dry aft deck all last boating season. The transom on the TC24 isn't vertical so the scuppers aided by gravity tend toward being slightly open allowing water to enter.

    Trailer Bunk Carpet

Thanks for all the replies and ideas. I'll try to work my way thru them here. The slick plastic doesn't seem to work as well with bottom paint on the boat. The bottom paint has a rough feel to it rather than the slickness of gelcoat. (Can anyone else concur on this?) We put the slick...

    Trailer Bunk Carpet

Hello all, Looking for some advice. My standard carpet on my EZ-Loader trailer bunks isn't working. We've replaced some of the carpet with new carpet supplied by ez-loader (for free) but we continue to basically get carpet burns during launching or recovering that causes the carpet to look...

    fuel contamination

I went thru similar problems on my port side. When I finally completely drained the Port fuel tank there was almost 3 gallons of water in the tank. For some reason C-Dory installed the fuel tank vents on my boat below the rub rail, unlike most others I've seen of my model boat. At a high...

    Lewmar V700 Windlass Question

Sorry for not getting back any sooner. I had company that wanted to boat everyday and then took off for the Yukon River for a hunt. I talked with the repair faciility in Seattle and then called a West Marine Store and had them check a brand new windlass for me. Both veriifed some play in...

    Lewmar V700 Windlass Question

Hope somone can help. I just re-installed my Lewmar V700 windlass that just got back from warranty work. The V700 is a full replacement for a Sprint 600 from back in May. That is another story though that I will relay later. RIGHT NOW I need help from a fellow member. My windlass top...

Port side front window leaks on TomCat

Just wanted to post our final solution to this problem. This spring I ordered a new one piece window and frame for the center position and new glass for both the side windshields for around $1000. I ordered them from the original manufacturer who made the glass for C-Dory and they still had...

Looking for switched power on my BF90's

I finally installed the Diodes this spring and now the fuel flow meter works of the Honda key switch. All went well and the advice on which wire to use was correct. Only one strange thing, the fuel flow meter has a voltage meter built into it and one of the diodes causes a voltage about 1 to...
